  1. Funny and true. But most of my boxes are empty. Its why I fish.
  2. Coolest man alive...... yea, its a onesie.
  3. Creamy jif but only on rye bread. Not a big fan of jelly. I got a cousin who still eats peanut butter and maple syrup on bread. He also eats dog biscuits and shaves his underarm hair so.....
  4. Easily solved problem. Just go out and wash your car, hang clothes on the clothesline, have a picnic, or water your lawn. It will rain buckets. Trust me.
  5. Just when you thought you knew everything.......
  6. Are the people from Snickers paying you to mention them? Not-so-subliminal advertising.
  7. @RPreeb you are living the dream. That pic looks like a piece of heaven.
  8. Probably everyone who has fished for a few years has caught a bass with a hook in its mouth. They live and eat despite the metal object in their lip. Most of us have broken off a lure in a fishes mouth only to see that fish jump out of the water to shake the hook. More than likely, the bass you hooked threw the lure after several jumps or head shakes. The reason I believe that the fish probably shook the lure off is the fact that most times when I lose a fish its because he jumped and threw the lure. If they can do that with fishing line & rod attached, they can do that when they are not attached. Don't worry about it. p.s. Ditch the snaps. They are terrible. Don't ask me how I know.
  9. And now for something quite different....
  10. I use a program call paint.net.
  11. Good one
  12. @MontgomeryCountyFishing are you sure the old timers aren't talking about catfish? There ain't too many places that hold big bass in PA. Especially not in the 8-10 pound range. Those bass are usually found in the southern states. Live-lining sunfish is common for flathead catfish.
  13. A gift for the crazy cat lady in your life (or neighborhood).
  14. Christmas is right around the corner. Don't forget your feline friends.
  15. Singing in the shower is fun until you get soap in your mouth. Then its a soap opera. Current temp here is 25 degrees and falling. Already put the rods & reels away for the year.
  16. That is a thing of beauty right there.
  17. Thank you to all who have served in our armed forces. Your sacrifice makes our safety possible.

This thread has given me some ideas. After reading posts about the high end jerkbaits I thought about buying one but the cost ($20 range) really stopped me. Now I might pick up some blanks and see what I can do over the winter.
  19. @BrackishBassin The spittin' image is a topwater bait that works kind of like a zara spook in that it does a "walk the dog" type retrieve. The lure will move side to side in the water with its nose up. You retrieve it by putting your rod tip close to the water and jerking it downward. If you want to see a great video of how its retrieved try how to fish the zara spook video on BR's youtube channel (good job on the video Glenn). The retrieve is the same.
  20. I'm eyeing up the Lew's reel they have in our local circular. Its a pro speed spool SLP for 80 bucks. Love the Lew's I got now. Its super tight with no slop in the gears at all. I can feel the bait monkey creeping up on me.
  21. I didn't know Lew's had that deep pockets. I know they have been around for awhile. Read on their website that they licensed their name to Browning. Not really sure what to make of this move.
