The Departed
Wow just got home from "The Departed" with Jack NIckolson, Leonardo Dicaprrio, and Matt Damon. Me and my dad have always loved watching mafia movies since my dad is 100 percent Italian and we just love em. This one is up there with the classics of the mob movies, a more recent day mob movie though. A very shocking ending. I recommened this movie to all, as long as they don't have a weak stomach for blood .

Mountain Bike Building....
yeah but you have to sell that to a bike guru like yourself. Most kids in need of bikes just care if it looks new and rides smooth, and that bike doesnt look new.

Your thoughts of 2006......
First off this is a cool thread, should be fun reading others responses. 2006 started off hot at ice out with big fish and numbers coming both at the same time. Then came the pre spawn which was surprisngly tough but still halfway decent. The spawn as usual was the most killer time and thats when I boated the most fish, no giants though, biggest fish threw this point was a 4.2, a nice fish for where I come from. After came the dog days of summer, these are my favorite because no school equals more time out on the water. I boated over 200 fish along just in the summer months. After the summer everythign went down hill and I just lost the fish. From september to present the fishing has been terribly slow. I have looked over my log now that the season has ended and I have caught 548 bass for a total poundage of 1126 pounds. Not too shabby Id say :. It was a fun year and had some good memories. Unlike some of you southern and west coast guys, unfortunetly our season has to come to an end :'(. Hey there is always ice fishing :-?( I am not the greatest ice fisher)

GETTIN READY FOR THE fORK tRIP
good idea. Not sure about the echelon but I have heard good things about the trion. The echelon has a graphite frame and thats why I think it is cheaper than the others.

Pflueger Supreme owners?
basspro... thats unusual, I wouldnt steer people away from pfluger though. Their reels are known for quailty and for being long lasting. I have had my president for about 3 months now and it is still like the day I bought it. I know people that have had theirs for 2+ years and never had a problem. What model reel did you have?
-
I was hoping you guys can shed some light....
talk to a guy named LowBudgetHookers on that one.

max depth you'll fish for bass
I'll take shallow water fish any time, I like catching them shallow much more. My preferred depth zone is 2-8 feet. Sometimes I will venture out to 15 feet if I am casting Parallel to drop offs or if its bluebird summer days and I have to get to offshore brushpiles.

Mountain Bike Building....
Very good job with the renovation. But I don't think you could get "at least" 150. The bike is still used and that effects the value of everything. I would say 50-80 bucks tops.

Pflueger Supreme owners?
my next choice would be a citica or a curado 100D if you are ready to step up into a new price range. You will like the citica if you like Wide spools like your president. It is a low profile reel but it only comes in 200 size which has a wide spool and good line capacity

No fall action????
I have found pond fishing to be brutal around this time of year and I am in a little slump myself. Go with what RW said and get some cranks or rat-l-traps out and you gotta just cover water and hope those fish are hungry. I am not really having luck on either of the two at the ponds, soft plastics or jerks and cranks. However out on the larger lakes I am doing well with the cranks and jerks presentations in the mouths of the creeks and rock and grass flats. It could just be a small water, cold weather thing?

Pflueger Supreme owners?
However I dont own one I borrowed one while fishing with a friend for the day and I didnt notice any real difference from my president. I would recommend the pflueger summit if you can find it and if you dont mind the 7:1:1 gear ratio.

BEST REELS
I voted pfluger because I am a big pfluger fan and own 2 casting reels of theirs(President and Supreme) and also 2 spinning reels of theirs(President and Medalist) There reels are made as high quailty as shimanos are and are a much better price. But once you get up to the calais or the chronarchs and even the curados I dont think shimano can be beat
