  1. Not really. We've never had lot of Quantum fans. For some reason they seem to be producing fewer models. Kind of like Pflueger.
  2. The only Spiderwire I liked was the original. They haven't made it since the 1990s.
  3. Somebody made a video on different crankbait retrieves and showed it. It may have been one of Glenn's videos but I don't remember.
  4. I e completely eliminated spinning since the newer baitcasters cast small neds.
  5. A lot of guys move the bait with the rod and reel in the slack.
  6. Fighting the fish to long raises the mortality rate. It's much better to make the fight as short as possible by using equipment that will get them out of cover fast.
  7. Power pro 4 strand is outdated. I use Sufix 832. Power pro super slick is there most up to date line.
  8. Nope. There's a lot of beers that suck so I'd drink coke or water first.
  9. That's not beer. It's pee pee. Nice fish. Crappy beer. Don't know about the weeds.
  10. I e had that happen occasionally in the spring. Not a big issue.
  11. It's usually done with 14 to 17 lb flouro on a baitcaster. Spinning won't handle that well. You also have more control of how deep your soon goes with your thumb on a baitcaster.
  12. Why use spinning ? Makes no sense.ive never seen that done.
  13. Fish weeds all the time without that issue.
  14. Never use leaders. Don't believe in them. Straight braid always.
  15. That's why I don't go below 12 lb diameter. With today's braking systems you should almost never backlash. They are light years ahead of the old stuff. When you do backlash you push your thumb against the line and reel it on. Then you release and pull. Repeat as needed. I have not had to cut a backlash out in years. I learned on braid and I'm glad I did.
  16. Why ? It's way less prone to backlash and easier to get out and backlash doesn't damage it.
