  1. Straight 50 lb Sufix 832 braid tied to spool holes no backing no leaders. Braid backlashes less and is easier to get a backlash out of and does get damaged .
  2. If you take it apart and screw it up it's not warranty.
  3. I agree with this completely. I will never use regular guides again. Micro guides cast further and are lighter.
  4. Every 13 fishing rod I ever had the tips snapped off of.
  5. Where ? Everyplace I look has no stock and no mega sales.
  6. Carbonlite and above all have Fuji guides and a 10 year warranty.
  7. I'd buy a carbonlite even though I voted diawa
  8. Those were nice. I had one. I sold it when reels got smaller.
  9. It's a saltwater model. At that length and being medium moderate I'd say crankbaits mostly. The reel looks like a cheap Abu though I may be wrong. I would save my money and start with a bps Carbonlite combo 68 to 7 ft mh.
  10. Get a net !!!! Never drag fish it wears off the slime coat !!!
  11. Those we're awesome. Same as the Pflueger Trion Round reels. I loved them.
  12. Lew's externally adjustable centrifugal systems would be right up your alley.
  13. Yes but like happened to you your lack of knowledge caused you months of grief you didn't need.Maybe you missed the trophy of your life picking out backlash.
  14. Braking system is probably the most important feature of a reel.
  15. Spray the ring with Teflon lube spray . It goes on wet and drys leaving a Teflon coating that lasts longer and casts further. I'd get the bb1 in my humble opinion.
  16. Don't know about the ALX but the St. Croix is a nice rod.there warranty used to be lifetime but now it's 15 years.
  17. LOL !!! All reels have different style brakes. That's the first thing is to know what kind you have.
  18. What is with these Instagram videos showing Favorite reels with multicolored braid being casted right at the point of total backlash? I don't get it. I must be old or stupid or both. Are we trying to see how far we can go before we pick it out ? Somebody please explain them to me. Also why are 99 percent of them Favorite reels and what's up with them all having multicolored braid ?
  19. That's funny because he's fished with some of the pros.
  20. Depends what the spoon weighs. Baitcasting only for jigging spoons.
  21. If you want distance a Lew's BB1 LFS is ur best bet. Comes in 3 different ratios left and right handed.
  22. Well originally the post was about the handle itself and why we need it etc....
  23. I've heard 7 up stops the bleeding. I've also pulled them behind my rowboat slowly and the bleeding stops. Have no idea why.
