Heading up to the pemmi river in nh for the first time. Launching from mooney Clark launch on rt 104. It's off of exit 23 on rt 93. If anyone has any info on areas to target I'd appreciate it. And I'll be fishing from a 12 foot rowboat. Does it get to shallow to navigate? Thanks in advance

I have a hummingbird that has a suction cup transducer. Just pop it right on the back and off you go. It's also chargeable so you don't need a battery. I use it for the same thing. Local reservoir that only allows you to use their rowboats.

I'm heading up to newfound lake for vacation Saturday. Has anyone been out on newfound recently? Any info on baits and depth you are catching them at would be great!! thanks in advance!!! DR

If your driving that far go to squam, winni or newfound. Those are all off of rt 93. Rt 16 stinks

I stay away from braid in rocky areas. In my experience if it hits a rock it snaps.

Looks like tackle warehouse is having a sale on abu Garcia. And **** is also having a sale. You should be able to hit a July 4th sale and get a solid discount. Id also try BPS and see if you can get the carbonlite for $50. I hate BPS but that's a good reel for the money

Two words..... Tackle warehouse. BPS is terrible. They never have the size or color I want and that's IF they even stock the brand I'm looking for. All they sell is their own knock off garbage.

Purple auger tail worm. That worm was money back in the mid 80s!!!! big o crank bait. The original square bill.

In response to the Powell rod. Buy a crappy or broken endurance. Mail it in with $60 or so and they will give you a new max.

I like g loomis but I haven't heard great things about the e6 line of rods. Basically they are over priced.

I have a Powell max ml and it's a great rod. It's slightly under 7 feet. And sounds perfect for what you are looking for. Its paired with a shimano saros.

Go to the wachusett reservoir. Great fisherie. It's bank fishing only but lots of big trout and smallmouth bass. I'm going in the morn. Pm if you need some info. There's a bait store also.

P My experience has been that Newfound is 90% smallmouth. Mike. Did you hit the chu last weekend. I'm going tomorrow. Any reports?

That's a good area but it's a good walk to the water. Gate 35 (the rook) is 35 minutes each way. Make sure you have a good map. Don't want to get lost. I will be out there the following Saturday. If anyone wants to meet up let me know. I'll probably fish live bait until 830-9. Then use spoons and walk the shoreline until noon. Gate is tbd.

Does fish = bass? Or are you including sunfish?

call west shore marine for a rental. You can easily paddle to mahew island if you rent a kayak. Pm me and I'll provide specifics. Newfound is definitely the way to go. I can give you some good info and you can get fish 10 minutes from The launch shacketts might rent kayaks also. They are located on west shore drive. Same location on the water
