  1. Is Berryessa closed? On google earth, how is Laguna Lake? There is nice pond off Lichua Road east of town. do you know any kids that own farms, hit the farm ponds and reservoirs. Little pond off of Petaluma Hill Rd. I see a bunch of small ponds over by the Diamond A Ranch estates. I see ponds west of Windsor High school. By the wineries. Dude, you have plenty of spots. Find the best one and enjoy it. The key is to ask your friends at school. It's not what you know, who you know.
  2. Sugar Barge rents aluminum boats. if you want to get on the water. I just remembered.
  3. Lake Isabella has big crappies. If you have a hard time with the bass, hit the crappies. Also, watch the wind. It gets windy at LI. Go on facebook, get on the 661 or Kern county fishing pages, they are very informative. Call Cope's tackle for more info. They are the best tackle shop in Bakersfield.
  4. Try going south to Tracy Oasis area, also hit Rivers End marina area, Discovery Bay area and then try Holland Tract area. There is a guy on youtube named Nick, he reports on delta bank fishing
  5. I might be the weird one, swimjigs. White or blue gill color. bouncing it off the rocks.
  6. Old article but it mentions some spots: https://www.westernbass.com/forum/shore-fishing-clear-lake-t5318.html There's a Casino at Clear Lake. Maybe hit the water after you hit the slots.
  7. Can I add a spot? go to Sugar Barge on Bethel Island and rent a boat, fish the delta Frank Tract area. Fish around the wall and the islands. Hit the tullies and frog fish the cheese. During the weekday, very little boat traffic. I was there 2 weeks ago on a Tuesday, very little pressure. if you can, call the marina and get info on the rental.
  8. buzzbait, for some reason, gets you the bigger fish too. also, time of day helps. The late evenings is better than the mornings in some cases.

Anyone here take or receive old plastic from customers and remold the plastic to specific lures? for a fee of course
  12. Prayers for all the anglers (all citizens) that live around Berry and the Napa area. Stay safe.
  13. this is for everyone, how about Oasis in Tracy? a lot of trees and cover. Lazy M? Rivers End? or the south delta How about the east side like Paradise, Disappointment and Kings?
  14. I'm late to this party but, Cashion rods are made in the US.
  15. WRB is correct. We have great year round fishing weather in Cali but we have tards running the state. Come out west for the winter.
  16. if there is cover, trees in the water, cattails and places for bass to hide, the pond will never lose the bass. Bank anglers can't get to those spots to fish. I have a small pond that the good areas are not fished unless on a kayak. So, big bass live in those protected area. I hope this made sense.
  17. I sent you a PM of a local guide that does reports on Youtube.
  18. I am getting into the Ca Aqueduct fishing game. I am going with a 7 MH or 6'10 rod with a aluminum frame baitcaster, like my Mettle from Academy and/or my Curado. Here is my reason; I will fish jerk baits, swimbaits and a-rigs. I don't plan on live bait or soaking. I will use moving baits. I might do crankbaits or soft plastics for bass. I will do 30lb braid to leader mono or just straight braid. I might do 50lb braid. I hope this helps. I will fish from Fresno to bakersfield.
  19. Full moon this 4th of July so night fishing or early morning fishing will probably be best. Just heard that the boat traffic will be insane on the delta. So, head up on the boaters. have fun and hope you hook into a dirty D big girl.
  20. Camman said it best. Chatterbait, frog, punch, flip and pitch in the tullies. Topwater with buzz, whopper plopper and frog again. and the money maker, wacky senko in the tullies, docks and any cover. Keep it simple to these 3-4 techniques. Tide is key at the Delta.
  21. My 2 cents, Delta is the best spot.
  22. Here is the California's Central Valley, we can get to 100' for 30 days straight. Not comparing it to AZ, no one can. ? So, late evening, early morning and night fishing during the summer is the only way. get a good head lamp and enjoin fishing under the stars.
  23. It was a joke. But, I need to budget for my next Curado.
  24. K came out in 2018, when is the next one coming out? L? M? Starting to collect cans for it.
  25. I just purchased the SG1 6’10” casting rod for jerkbaits. Sold out at most places. Found it in a Texas tackle shop. If this rod is not available, what’s up? Anyone have this rod and your thoughts/review?
