  2. He’s in SD, he can try salt water, alone
  3. I agree. How do you change your reputation after this? He might get off legally but your name gets destroyed.
  4. He’s big in So-Cal for swimbait fishing. He was caught, on tape, snagging bass. All allegations and not confirmed by anyone.
  5. Youtube is down now
  6. Thank you guys. I notice that on BR I get practical advise from anglers that are using the rods. I go on Youtube and they are pushing 7, 76 or 8 feet rods for the same techniques. That is why I come here first and take this advise. Thank you again.
  7. I will look into it. Thanks You use 610 for jigs, Texas rig and buzzbait?
  8. Thank you guys I will be getting one
  9. I am thinking about buying a 69 MH rod. My son has the American Hero rod and he uses it for texas rig worms. I looked on BR to see what everyone is using this length for, technique, and found nothing on the BR. So, what is the best use for the 69 rod?
  10. Piscifun is easy to contact; Facebook, Instagram and website. They have an American tech that took care of me. Also DVT offered to help me.
  11. I compare these reels to Black, Silver and Pro Max. I had a KastKing and I have two Piscifuns. Piscifuns are made from the same company that makes Ardent. The same company says it makes Pure Fishing products- Abu Garcia. I had the Kastking Spartacus. Great reel. Magnet and centrifugal brakes in that reel. It did not backlash. It was a great reel. You can't go wrong with these reels. Take care of them and they should last you.
  12. Thank you for the info. I used a Big hammer for rock cod. I will give them a try.
  13. I was thinking about the 5.8
  14. I like the Berkley Slim Shad, 6 inch, swimbait. It's no longer available. Any similar swimbaits available?
  15. Good to read that I'm not the only one struggling. I will dedicate 2019 to Drop shot.
  16. You might need a Heavy rod, like the Shock 7'6". That has a lure weight limit of 3 oz.
  17. Lord knows we need the rain here in the central valley. But, it's cutting into my fishing. I can't go out in 55 degree rainy weather, harsh weather. LOL ? In all seriousness, if you are planning to come west. Look at the central valley. From Redding to Bakersfield. Still affordable and very Right leaning. ? Avoid the bay area, central coast and So-Cal, housing is getting ridiculous. You can also look at Napa Valley by Clear Lake. I am leaning towards Elk Grove area to retire. Very nice city. The delta is a rock throw away.
  18. I love the Shim e Stick. weightless, texas rig in my favorite and of course wacky. Durable and last longer than Yum Dingers. The rate of fall is slow and I have seen bass charge at the worm with no mercy to kill the worm. I would pick the shim e over the yum. But, take them both out and try them both. I hope SK does not discontinue the shim e.
  19. Stick bait worm, jig, 3 inch Swim bait Here in California, where we don't see a hard winter.
  20. I pay higher taxes and 2k mortgage to fish year round. I'm broke but fishing. ?
  21. Welcome from the central valley. If you are in the Fremont area, delta over by Tracy. If you are over by Concord, delta at Fremont or Brentwood
  22. aluminum frame reel. H2O Mettle from Academy will be your cheapest. Curado would be the best pricey reel.
  23. Eastman Lake outside of Chowchilla. The average size is 3 lbs. Limit on keeping (1) and limit size for catch and release. That lake is the Clear Lake of the central valley.
  24. What's up, from the Central Valley.
  25. Would flaming gorge be too far?
