  1. My eyes are playing tricks on me. When I first glanced at this I thought they were on a grill. LOL.
  2. Amazing! Thanks for sharing. Here's another that someone posted . . .
  3. @TnRiver46 stole it.
  4. If you have dragonfly nymphs in your kiddy pool, you probably also have mosquito larvae and midge larvae in there also (as well as other things). The dragonfly nymphs will eat those (and also other dragonfly nymphs and damselfly nymphs). If you want to feed them yourself, you can buy tubifex worms at a fish pet store and feed them those. They only capture things that they see moving. How large are the dragonfly nymphs? If they are large, you'll have to feed them something larger than tubifex worms.
  5. Is it true that most of the almonds are exported out of the US?
  6. I'm also curious why you need such thick wire. .051" is the wire size used for 3/8 & 1/2 oz buzzbaits. That's pretty thick wire.
  7. @Aaron_H I haven't tried either of these, but may be these would work? or
  8. @Bdnoble84, I'm assuming you are fishing in your location "Northern Illinois?" You can spend your spare time checking the descriptions at the following: https://www2.illinois.gov/dnr/education/Pages/WAFMinnow.aspx It also contains range maps for most of the minnows listed so you can check if they are within the area you were fishing. For example, spotfin shiner (Cyprinella spiloptera) has the following range map:
  9. Here's some research done on Northern Pike, you can download a pdf at the link: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/342220262_Do_carbonated_beverages_reduce_bleeding_from_gill_injuries_in_angled_Northern_Pike The conclusion to their experiments was: "there is no scientific evidence to support the use of carbonated beverages for reducing or stopping blood loss for fish that have had their gills injured during recreational angling based on the context studied here"
  10. BASS302 posted a topic in Fishing Tackle
    I saw this on TW:
  11. @TnRiver46, I'm confused - Glenn wants you to toss your cookies?
  12. Would one or two velcro cable wraps work?
  13. Bass Buster Space Buzzer. From 1983 BPS catalog:
  14. Would that make it an ugly Ugly Stik?
  15. It's a dragonfly nymph. Photos of the different types can be found on the internet. I would catch them as a kid. They can expel water from their gill cavity and sort of "jet" around in the water. And you should see how they capture prey.
  16. Dragonfly nymph.
  17. @Smells like fish, stonefly?
  18. I found this doing a search:
  19. His "Will Fish Eat a Block of Wood?" video is great.
  20. Zman makes something called a TT Lures SnakelockZ. Looks similar.
  21. Like @roadwarrior said, the internet is your friend. There are photos and range maps for most of them: https://www2.illinois.gov/dnr/education/Pages/WAFMinnow.aspx
