  1. I guess my grandebass worms aren't much of a secret. I like the air-wiggler, slinko, and rattlesnake. I'm like 5yrs good on grandebass after their 1/2 price christmas sale a little while back.
  2. Could be Grandebass rattlesnake (6.5"?) ...
  3. Well, that's great. I knew they bragged about the patriot being made here in the states, but didn't know the standard Morris was being made here as well. Good for BPS, but sounds like they had to downgrade components to make up for the increased production cost.
  4. The Johnny Morris rods ate made in china...but so are 90% of rods on the shelf. The JM will serve you well I imagine, and have over-the-counter replacement. The JM will be lighter than others at the $100ish price point.
  5. Fluoro was around in the early 90's?! I thought it was about 2000- that's when Stren and Trilene released their first version.
  6. 22oz's! Wow....and I thought throwing a 2oz Arig was a lot.
  7. The new Daiwa reels with hyperdrive feel more refined vs other brands.
  8. Winter or 40's water...you want a smithwick rogue- they roll and don't 'walk' underwater. Great for lethargic bass. X-rap 'slashbait' as rapala called it, walks underwater like a spook and work well in a couple of situations. Duel flat minnow won the classic, and are on sale @ TW. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Duel_Hardcore_Minnow_Flat_SP_Jerkbaits_110mm/descpage-HMF.html
  9. Those sticks look pretty nice. My only gripe would be the lack of a 'jiggin handle' which has become a staple for me.
  10. That may happen...if they offered a 6 gear I'd be more inclined.
  11. I'm ready for the next zillion..hopefully a better color.
  12. If you had the money, you could have rods to abuse and nice gear for the boat. It's the same with clothing...I don't do yard work wearing my Sunday's best.
  13. With Daiwa casting reels, the Zillion was clearly the point where you would get diminishing returns on models above it. However, with the release of the '24 Tatula SV TW (with SV Boost spool and Hyperdrive)...It is now after the Tatula that returns diminish.
  14. 2 in x 2 in: Free subs for a month on the wrist, bicep, or foot 3 in x 3 in: Free subs for a year on the shoulder blade, forearm, or calf 12 in x 12 in: Free subs for life, also known as "The Footlong," on the sternum or back
  15. For real? I know you could get free subway for life with a subway tattoo. The bait game is so dang crowded. I hear 13's hardbaits are good, but I get why Rapala is bowing out and just selling Rapalas.
  16. Talked to some guys at the Rapala booth @ the classic about the acquisition. I was like "you guys aren't going to screw around with the concept series are you!?" I was told "I don't think so", which means they don't really know. Why would they? I'm a fan..Best thing 13 makes are the concept reels.
  17. Tackle Tour liked it... https://www.tackletour.com/reviewarkfishing24gravitybfs.html
  18. Those new Kage rods look nearly identical to the jdm gen 1 Orochi XX rods.
  19. It wasn't too long ago I picked up my first megabass rod (p5). I had always thought megabass rods were 'more show than go', and an ugly loomis meant you were a savvy angler. Times have changed, and megabass rods have become lighter and more sensitive in general. You should post up your thoughts on the x10.
  20. I have a few of the h2O 1.5's reserved for muddy/low-vis conditions. LOUD knocker type rattle in those.
  21. Finally put the new SLP knobs on my Steez sv 6.3's (w/ blue zpi parts).
  22. I really can't answer that. They offer certain guarantees like Amazon, but you can use PayPal to be extra safe. Shipping times from China have improved quite a bit since last year.
  23. Nice. Just FYI...I recently saw Tat Elites on Ali-X for $143.
  24. Yes, but the standard spool from daiwa would be half the cost of what you can buy another reel for...so I'd just buy another reel.
  25. The 7' rod of the same power will be a little more powerful than a 6'6" due to the extra length being at the butt end of the rod. The upper section of the blank should be the same. The glx will be lighter, more crisp, and noticeably more sensitive vs a gcx.
