!What’s your absolutely favorite high end flipping stick ?
Forgot about one...Savage Gear Black Ops 7'11"H (156g). I have limited time with it, but it's nice and fishes well for a nearly 8' rod.

!What’s your absolutely favorite high end flipping stick ?
I have the Poison Glorious in 7'6"H (121g) and 7'4"XH (146g). I rarely if ever flip, so I can't tell you how well they do in that regard.

In what application(s), would you need a reel with 8.1:1 gear ratio?
One thing not mentioned, is better hooksets on bottom contact. I think everyone has a set amount of handle turns when reeling down to set the hook. I do 3-4 cranks, so when I started using an 8 speed...I was deeper into the power of my rod when I set the hook.

Making skirts flare
I've never tried tying skirts (yet)...been using zip ties. They work, but are thicker than wire and don't promote flaring.

Making skirts flare
I want the top of the skirt on my finesse jigs to look like this. It kind of does this naturally with larger/heavier heads, but harder to accomplish with 3/16 and 1/4oz ball heads.

Post a photo a day!
They passed a law here in Oklahoma that makes it a crime to leave your dogs out if it's 25 degrees or colder.

'24 Metanium DC 70
I hadn't ever really considered a DC reel. The reel weight and seemingly complicated braking system turned me off. However, this new DC 70's design and light weight (6.17oz) has my attention. Digitaka has it listed at $352, but no stock yet. https://fish.shimano.com/ja-JP/product/reel/baitlurecasting/a075f000045zv32qag.html

Most Sensitive Jig Rod ~$300?
Yea...rods transmit vibrations to your fingertips no matter what you call it. Rods nowdays are so good at transmitting vibrations I don't keep a finger on my line anumore.

New Poison Adrena
You can get that grip on the Glorious. The poison glorious sticks are amazing.. my favorite line of rods.

Making skirts flare
Did some research. Apparently an o-ring under the skirt tie will get the bottom material to flare. I'm thinking a small rubber washer will get the top fibers to flare out sharply/flat.

Super Fluke in Winter to Pre-Spawn ?
I'd probably choose the Jackal Drift Fry.

Most Sensitive Jig Rod ~$300?
I saw that and was sad to see it. The rod market is crowded for sure. I'm glad I have the 3 I picked up @ $199.

Making skirts flare
Wanting to make some keitech/skinny bear style jigs. Looking for something to put on the jig collar to accomplish this. I've ran across a thing or two to use....maybe even a small rubber washer. What say you?

How do you differ and why?
A couple of difference makers I do.... -Jerkbaits on spinning rods with the lightest line I can get away with (usually 8lb sniper). Beat my boater several times in T's doing this. - When fishing cranks in shallow wood...I make contact/deflect with every cast. I will cast a couple feet further than the target on the opposite side, and then hold my rod out to the side for maximum contact...often giving the bait a quick rip to create a bigger collision. I'll do this with football jigs as well.

‘16 Megabass Destroyer “Go-Ten”
Sweet. I'd have bought that B as well. I like shorty rods 👍

WEC vs Black Label
Yea, I knew he bought the duplicaters. Don't know much about Mr Pace, but saw an interview with him after a tourny where he used a black label/wec model to win. He said "I hand craft these baits...when I have the time. It's kind of a hobby gone wrong, lol." Kind of rubbed me the wrong way. I thought "if I purchased Jeno's Cheesesteaks out of Philly and won a contest with one...I'd give credit where it's due." Maybe mention you purchased Ed's business and are carrying on his legacy.

WEC vs Black Label
I haven't fished my WEC's since Ed Chambers passed away. I'm not sure what they will be worth in 40+ years, but they are special and Ed painted and signed every bait. Is each Black Label exactly like its WEC counterpart? If they are identical, I see noreason to fish the WEC's. I even saved the Zoom packaging they came in. I hope the answer is yes.
