  1. I'm in the habit of buying molds, shooting 1000 baits and selling the mold for zero loss. Not sure how to do this math...
  2. And they are a great place to put the charcoal chimney when you're lighting coal for the large kettle. To the OP, pretty good so far this year. I've smoked a couple of top rounds into roast beef, my usual chicken things, pulled pork, a chuck roast on 3, and these ribs.
  3. Don't forget park their Subarus on the ramp and leave them there.
  4. The Mrs worked in the veterinary field for 5 years-office manager- and word is that any of the deals like that are for counterfeits. My springers live in the woods, and Soresto collars have really helped. I often find dead ticks on my pup that never reach the skin. They die halfway into her fur. It's crazy. Hell, I'd wear one if I could.
  5. I think I have at least 6 of these TD-X,and three or four TD-S. They are just fantastic reels. I agree with you 100%! The TD -Z is worth trying too, love my Zillions and the 105 for throwing Bandit 200s. I really doubt I will ever get a reel newer than 2010.
  6. I just bought an OG Fuego. It may be time to sell some things.
  7. There's a few things I just can't say no to- TDX and TDZ reels at reasonable prices, and the Fuji Lews rods from the 70s. And Bandit 200s. And mud bugs. Oh, and Collins jig molds. So unlike you guys, I don't have a problem at all.
  8. 4" are good on dropshot too.
  9. It all goes in an old coffee can with a lid. The soft plastics I just save and remelt.
  10. I think it will treat you well. It's a nimble winch of a reel.
  11. They do make nice keychains
  12. I still have Mud Bugs and 1 minus in my rotation. I also have a habit of buying them way too often. And I don't know anyone else who throws them. I also love Heddon Baby Torpedos. Smallmouth love them too.
  13. Same here. Sadly nobody in the New England region serves decent tea.
  14. I don't think there's been a bad suggestion yet (maybe mine is!) I'll say what I generally do-go used. Green Curado CU 200s are great reels for less than 75 dollars-I've seen them for 50-that even a 14 year old can't kill.
  15. Finally figured out how to make skirted grubs. I knocked out about 30 of these today, which was mostly using a hot knife to melt the skirt and twin tail together. The best part is, this is all remelt, so I'm playing with house money.
  16. I understand completely. I'm 45 and have a lifetime's worth of baits already. And I'm just getting started. I'm hoping to make rods next and then paint cranks. I have a pile of discontinued baits that I love in colors I do not. I'll be asking experts like you for help!
  17. Looks like you are well on your way! Nice work.
  18. Thank you-i have a pile of TD (S,X,Z) here and I could never find a place to start. All of the customization is mind boggling.
  19. Some of my favorites right there, you're going to love them. Before I spent a penny on new bearings, I'd do an acetone flush of the factory ones. Often the stock bearings on higher end reels are worth keeping.
  20. 5/8 oz swim jig. Testing out my new fluid bed today.
  21. We have those and blues where I grew up in southeastern Ohio. They do love jigs, that's for sure.
  22. Pickerel and Pike are to blame. I did have to eat a channel cat in Ohio to get one back.
  23. Shhhhhh, I only have 20 or so left!!
