  1. Things aren't looking good on my side for the Ashburn thing =/ Tracy's making plans to go to skyline :-?
  2. sebile magic swimmers!! ... i need to fish...
  3. i toss most everything with BC gear minus the 1/2/3 in grubs for smallies and pan fish. The one thing I carry a spinning rod/reel is for skipping.
  4. I feel like tungsten is better than lead when it comes to transmitting the feel of bottom structure. As for other concerns on size and such vs lead I'm not sure as I've landed fish on both setups.
  5. One reason why I don't use them is that they're hard for me to store...haven't found a good storage solution for them as of yet How do you guys store your double bladed ones?
  6. Looks like Sun!
  7. it's really nice, got there at 6am, and waited til 8am for the open, luck wasn't on my side as I chose a $10 gift card and my gf got a $5, better than nothing though! Maybe saturday morning i'll have better luck =D
  8. Looks like big Grand opening is tomorrow, anyone gonna be camping out there tonight to get some deals =D?
  9. just watched it with sound...wow, even better
  10. amazing video...i wish I had sound where i am now, imagine an average of 7lbs .... over a few days too...d@mn...
  11. Nice fish! gotta love those top water bites
  12. x2 night fishing sounds fun
  13. Between greentop and BPS I got about 7 packs of the 10inchers in various colors. I'm still on the edge with them, I fish them with 5/0 ewgs and all the bites so far have been right below the hook, so maybe a larger hook is in order. Another thing is that the "rage" seems to catch the air when casting
  14. I'd say 4 to be on the safe size... I have about 3 different scales...but for some reason everytime I end up catching a PB I never have one on me >< My avatar pic is my pb and of course didn't bring my scale, I say 5lber but I think it's more
  15. I've had birds fly straight into my braided line before, most free themselves after a bit of struggling...one unfortunately struggled so hard it tangled up and strangled itself =/
  16. Hey sorry guys, my "one more week" ended up being alot longer, I have no excuses, I sent it out today to Shorefisher as he asked me awhile back to get it next.
  17. it actually measures in half lb increments and since i've gotten it it works pretty darn well... though because of the half lb increment limitation i've had to guess +- a certain amount of ounces based on how close is it to the next mark. Comparing my estimations to a digital scale I have it's pretty close, +- 2oz, which for some might not be accurate enough but for me it works well, also add to the fact that it's a gripping tool which can be used easily with one hand puts the price vs what you're getting through the roof for me
  18. Falcon binders x2 The spinnerbait binder works pretty well, but it depends on the size and shape of your spinnerbaits. Sometimes with the small ones the blade arm area doesn't want to hook into the latch area and sometimes the blade arm is bent in an angle that doesn't want to hook in also (which only seems to happen with the cheap spinnerbaits *cough* walmart *cough*) As for the buzzbait binder it won't hold the buzzbaits with 3 or more blades on the prop, nor will it hold buzzbaits with more than 1 prop. It will hold the buzzbaits with inline props though if it follows the rules above. Also, with both the binders the skirts will sometimes get stuck in the zipper which is kinda annoying. But overall still nice binders to keep your spinners and buzzbaits organized
  19. Wow that's horrible, but one thing that I can't seem to picture in my head... How is it that the rod broke but you're still able to put it back together and use it like a 2 piece? What connects one half with another? I've broken rods before and there's no possible way that I'd be able to put the two pieces back together and continue using. Are you sure the rod wasn't a 2 piece to begin with? edit: looks like Pencil Pusher beat me to it!
  20. Yea, it was a nice one, nice big swirl and seemed to fight pretty hard from where I was watching. We need more of those =D
  21. That's what I'm smelling =D
  22. Well, before I visited GT, I thought it was large, on the size of BPS, or Gander Mountain large but when I went I was surprised at how small it really was. Don't get me wrong, they have fishing and hunting gear packed wall to wall and have more gear than 5 Dick's Lodges put together.
  23. I just bought a bunch of these Anacondas, they look great! What hook size would you recommend? 4/0, 5/0? or larger? Thanks!
  24. Yep, they're awesome, I went today after taking a peek at the new BPS. Naturally, business was a bit slow because of the bps opening, I hope they don't edge them out :'( I did pick up about 6 bags of the new 10in ragetail anacondas though...
