  1. omg, so cute, I can't believe someone would do that. If my apartment allowed pets I would make the drive to from VA this evening to get one.
  2. I had a sea eagle 9, wow was that thing heavy and awkward when deflated...maybe an 8 is lighter and more manageable but I dumped that sea eagle asap. I understand that you're strapped for cash, I am too, but I got sick of buying inflatables and went with the kayak route after saving up during the summer. If you're really itching to get out and inflatable kayak works well too, it's what i used for about 3 years before I got my yak!
  3. Wow, minus the ugly face....they actually look rather pretty! The color and markings look nice =D
  4. I'm definitely interested in a snake head outing, anything that fights hard as I'm reeling in is fun for me. And I still definately want to sink my teeth into one, lemme know when you guys try for some one weekend! yak fishing for snakeheads sounds like major fun
  5. hype imo, buy which ever is cheaper!
  6. Try AVAST it's a free virus scanner that auto updates and such, the only thing you'll need to do is register (no real info needed) and they'll send you a key that works for 1 year. After a year you need to renew it for free again. With this program I go out of my way to find viruses sometimes....I'll get virus emails from my friends and a follow up email from them telling me "oh i just got a virus don't open that last email, it wasn't really me that sent it.." I click it anyways and watch avast freak out =D
  7. See if you can return that 4000 and get a 2500 stradic, the 4000 is kinda overkill for almost all bass and the weight reduction would allow you to cast those cranks without getting tired as fast as a 4000 would. then get a rod with a lifetime warranty...shimano like you've chosen or maybe a st croix/loomis!
  8. hmm, I wouldn't mind sinking my teeth into one!
  9. Anyone up for some yak fishing this saturday in Richmond?
  10. I thought they were. I heard that the Es are going for $179, which is $20 cheaper than the MSRP of the Ds. Was there a price change? oops my fault, you're right. I bought mine right after the St croix rod sale and the same store offered 10% off any reel if I bought it then, not to mention the rebate...I guess I got mine for alot cheaper then! lol
  11. nice....for some reason I got it in my head that they'd be cheaper than the old ones...oh well :-[
  12. wow, I've been looking for one, out of my price range though (looks to be around 340 ish) =( amazing camera!
  13. Hit up Swift Creek res today, wow it's really really low. I'm glad I brought my FF along cause otherwise I wouldn't have know where to fish...in total I only hit 3, one off a small hole, and 2 off drop offs. First one at 1-10 and the other two 1-3 and 1-0. I'm still learning the ropes with fish finders...any tips?
  14. I used to use water shoes, $5 at walmart, they worked pretty well for protecting my feet from hitting rocks (for me atleast) but it was miserable when sand and small rocks would get in and getting them dry after wading was a pain. I started using generic crocs which worked pretty well, protection from rocks and sand and smaller rocks could just flow through. My friend swears by the Orvis wet wading shoes but at $100 I think I can bear a bit of sand and rock!
  15. Missed that part!! Call me out when you head down =D
  16. Sooo tempted...know where at?
  17. Hate to see you go J, let us know when you have some free time to fish!
  18. Wow amazing cat, they got a bunch in Richmond that size but I've never targeted them and I dunno how to handle them... looks like it'd be a fuuuun fight though
  19. I use the 4in double tail and single tail grubs on a 1/8oz jig head for small mouth. IMO there are better options for grubs out there, with the high salt content they'll usually rip in the first or second strike near the head and won't hold well on the jig head.
  20. Nicely rigged kayak! Space is a premium on mine (only 9'-10') so I'm still trying to work out the best places to put stuff.
  21. Nice fish! Wading out at PP is alot of fun, been neglecting it for my yak though, need to get out there some time soon.
  22. Ahh I see, I'm in the process of trying the PVC cup of water version...alot more trouble than I had imagined. edit: i just poured a bit of water in it this morning....it failed miserably
  23. Heya Paul, what method did you use for the through hull mount?
  24. Lol yep, thanks for that idea, works like a charm!
  25. x2 I wish I could go! Just mounted the fishfinder today...it's scary drilling a 1in hole in your yak...
