  1. Tatula 100, Zillion, Tatula 70
  2. A good name is to be treasured more than fine gold.
  3. My most memorable bass was eleven inches long. My best friend, who I lost almost three years ago, had a son, Ryan. Ryan had MS and was wheel chair bound and had limited use of his arms and hands. Ryan wanted to go bass fishing so bad. Rick and I set a date and we went to my home lake here in Washington. Rick is pictured on my avatar. We lift Ryan after securing him in a zip and strap Mustang. This was huge because it supported Ryan in an upright position. I secured Ryan’s chair on the back deck with tie downs. We fished after a long easy ride around and I helped Ryan cast a Senko. He/we got a bite and we set the hook. Ryan gave his all to reel and together we got it to the boat. Rick lipped Ryan’s personal best bass which was 11 inches. Rick took copious amounts of pictures. We whooped and yelled in excitement. Ryan, in his Ranger hat, was giddy. Rick caught a couple small fish before Ryan was too tired to stay out longer. We tied up at the resort, moved chair and angler back on shore to have a soda and relive the experience. Ryan left us four years later. Rick began wearing Ryan’s blue and yellow Ranger hat. I lost Rick a while back. I have the Ranger hat they wore. That is my most memorable bass by far.
  4. Yan’s Chinese Cuisine.👍👍👍
  5. Can this be applied to ordering a new rod and reel?
  6. What techniques truly require maximum distance? Deep cranks, burning big spinnerbaits over huge flats and top waters reaching schoolers? Those baits on the right combo throw well to very well.
  7. One aspect I failed to mention. The body has a honeycomb type interior. You would think the buoyancy would be reduced because of that internal material but they float up quickly. I like the Matt chartreuse gill color.
  8. I have four Allen. The square bill and mid depth diver. The sb is small at 2 in. and I wish I had gotten the max. However, the wobble of the sb is something. It really moves. If you can get them at a reasonable price they are worth checking out.
  9. Dobyns Kaden 715 or 745 from ALF and the Lews LFS. Now you have a rod that will double for pitching and jigs.
  10. Zako is heavy and helps when it’s windy or you need casting distance. It also helps. Keep the bait up when retrieving slowly. Spunk Shad is very erratic and provides lots of action without the need to emit action yourself. SK Blade Minnow is a tweener and I like it when fishing rivers with current. The Zoom Z Craw helps around wood because it aids keeping the hook upright. It also provides a shorter broader profile. Those four cover it all for me.
  11. We are getting close. I’m really jazzed about Sieberts Cosmic Orange spinnerbaits and Mike’s living rubber flipping jigs. I bought Diawa Tatula SV TW in left hand for my granddaughter to use. Good times are ahead!
  12. Some squid bought a banana taped to a wall for a million bucks so this is peanuts.
  13. I crank, therefore I am.
  14. Ready, set: I have the DRX 755 and I prefer the Xtreme 746. There, that didn’t hurt. Now with that said, the NFC Edge Silver Widow 736-C would be even sweeter.
  15. When the water has a brown tint from mud and low visibility, red as a primary color or portions of red can be effective.
  16. So you want me to apply mathematics? You’re such an optimist.
  17. I’ll see them in person before long. Pre spawn dirty water magic.
  18. Mike, you should show your Cosmic Orange Twist spinnerbait.
  19. May. “Winter stays along time this high.”
  20. You have to fish where they live. Fish the time of year they are accessible. Fish baits and techniques that are proven. Fish high percentage locations. Fish gear that won’t fail. Fish often.
  21. I was watching a documentary on the Smithsonian channel and a team of salvage divers found Lake Menderchuck on the bottom of Lake Michigan. Mystery solved.
  22. Well I’m 71 and for the most part, still in good shape. I use a butt seat for stability. I have neuropathy in my feet so standing on a trolling motor for hours gets painful. I just have to take a short break. I just bought a new thermal vest which has some flotation built in. I always use a pdf when running and a kill switch. I also know I’m not 50 anymore.👍
