  1. But these guys are both fishing the Elite Series. Rick Clunn has fished it longer but I would think if anything the competition is better now that it was before KVD started.
  2. I just spent literally 20 minutes figuring out how to end the MW feeds and then I check this thread and Burley already posted it... Facebook was so much easier when I first signed up like 4 years ago.
  3. That is why I had to unfriend so many there, I would open my page and 30 or 40 Mafia Wars updates would come up, I never played that game and never will, Is "un-friending" the only option? With all the features they've put into FB you'd think they'd make it easier to block certain announcements.
  4. ???? And stats are the measurements of success, they show a lot. Sure, there are intangibles, but when it comes to who is the best tourney fisherman, stats about wins HAVE to matter.
  5. Here's the story. Al Lindner rules. The End. LMAO ;D Gotcha
  6. I have never seen so many Mafia Wars updates until I became FB friends with a few guys from this site...and they know who they are.
  7. My sister just got the same one. How much extra per month is it costing you? I just got an EnV Touch and it is pretty sweet.
  8. If 7oz for a round reel is too heavy for you, then you need to lift some weights. And it may not be a Steez or Core but I would rather have it than either of those if I needed something that could actually hold a substantial amount of heavy line.
  9. Having owned both, I much preferred the LTB. I still think it was more sensitive and lighter than my current Cumara spinning rod. If you have the cash, definitely go with the LTB, if not, know that the Avid is a very good rod for the money.
  10. What is Al Lindner's story? I just realized that even though I watch his show all the time, I know pretty much nothing about him.
  11. I must have motored right over that thing. Would have never known it was there. Wayne, would you say the fishing is better when it is high or low?
  12. I would throw them on heavier line than that, especially the ones that are bigger than 4". I don't use a high speed ratio because I usually fish them slowly over the top of grass.
  13. It is amazing how much money various organizations spend on completely useless studies that result in even more useless programs.
  14. LMAO! Those are great. I feel bad for those poor dogs though
  15. I was assuming that you were wading but if not, then you can find depth changes by throwing a bottom contact bait. You can tell how deep the water is by how long it takes to sink or if you start getting more or less slack as you drag it from one area to another. I've fished the Rapp but not where you were. If you wade, you will catch more fish. I'll send you a PM in the near future about a wading trip. The places I wade are generally pretty far for me and include a lot more prep and cleanup than the average local pond/lake trip so I really have to be in the mood for it.
  16. I agree about not needing to spend too much for a walking bait rod. You're going to see the fish hit so all you need is a rod with good components and durability, you don't need to spend the extra money to get something that is sensitive on top of that unless you really want to. I have no problem walking a bait with a 6.x:1 ratio reel. It's more about your rhythm than the speed of the reel IMO. I do use braid for walking baits but not if I am using an XF rod. For a F rod then braid will work fine. I don't like XF and braid because there isn't enough give and it doesn't allow the bait to swing back away from your retrieve as well as an XF rod with mono/copoly or a F rod with braid.
  17. I read that England isn't far behind the US as far as obesity percentages...that makes me feel a little better.
  18. Anyone tried these? Looks like an interesting alternative to the tennis racket over grip that I've been using.
  19. To be fair, Clunn's peak years were back when prize purses were far less than they are today. I don't see why someone would decline in fishing ability with age, but even so, let's look at top 3 finishes: 1st place wins: KVD -15, RC - 14 2nd place wins: RC - 13, KVD - 11 3rd place wins: KVD - 16, RC - 11 (total top 3 finishes= KVD - 42, RC - 38) top ten finishes: RC - 102, KVD - 82 *KVD has 219 entries, RC has 355 Well, you're 22 years old. You'll understand later in life why. Distractions in personal life along with a decrease in motivation to win along with the natural effects of aging on a man who attempts to fish day long tournaments all factor in to why a Pro fishermens career will tail off after peaking. Everyone has done this except for probably Hank Parker who surprised everyone when he retired at what would be considered the top of his peak years. ok, ok, I get it. But what about the overall winning stats?
  20. Well personally, I wouldn't trust that method. We have guys who have very high post counts who haven't been here more than 6 months. We also have guys who have been here a long time and don't have many posts. We also have guys who have both been here a long time, have a lot of posts, and are flakes. It's a good idea but I think a great deal of paying it forward already goes on.
  21. You're assuming that post count determines if a member is reputable... :
  22. RC Classic wins - 4 and KVD already has 2.
