  1. as of now, 7.5 games behind??? I don't even care about these teams, just stating a fact.... ;D
  2. Wow, that's a bad day. I've had an assortment of all of those things happen to me, sometimes more than one of them in a day but never all of them.
  3. I would think you would be alright fishing a little 4" paddletail on Medium gear but MH is probably best. If you rig the bait the way the guys have been telling you then you should have fewer issues with the bait tearing up.
  4. I don't like the color of the blue anodized stuff but the rest of that reel is SAHWEET!
  5. I bought a Zillion rod (not a flipping stick) from The_Natural and I love it. They are very sensitive rods. As others have said, they are very stout and are very fast actions (I am assuming the flipping stick is similar to mine) but that's ok because I like fast rods for soft plastics and spinnerbaits.
  6. They are selling them for $120?!?! That's stupid. I'll bet they will stay on those shelves for a while.
  7. I do this every Sunday with the groceries. I never go back for a 2nd trip. same here. I think my record is like 22 bags between both arms.
  8. Sorry dude, I just got a new reel and all of my reels have been shifted and the Citica D just got displaced. It is in good shape and it casts pretty well. I have the box, papers, but no oil. I need to test out the reel that is now on my swimbait rod before I get rid of the 201D but I will be able to do that tomorrow morning. I'll send you a PM if I can get rid of it.
  9. WOuld you be interested in another Citica 201D? I have one I'd like to get rid of and I'm not attached to it at all....if ya know what I mean.

    Happy Birthday ya old fart
  11. Yeah, the preview kind of makes it seem like Pitt's character was talking to Hitler but then I figured they just edited it together.
  12. Anyone ever been to Rod & Reel Repair in Arlington off of Wilson Blvd (I think)? How was the service?
  13. I honestly just don't know. I feel like I have to baby it but I'm not really sure why. Also, it seems to struggle under heavy loads. I'm going to get it repaired sometime soon because I think I may have messed up the gearing somehow.
  14. Line size isn't so much of a consideration for reels as it is for rods. Most reels can handle any size of line just fine. The 120yds/12lb test or whatever is just to give you an idea of how much line will fit on the spool. I would stick to 10lb test (diameter) and up, preferably something like 12-17
  15. Yes, the Zillion is very tempting for me, especially to put on my Zillion rod. I love the way they look and feel and cast. I honestly don't know why I don't like my Fuego. It palms well, it casts pretty well, it backlashes a little but not too bad as far as I set it right and don't get over zealous, but for some reason I just feel like I could backlash at any time when I'm using it. Also, it feels like it lacks power when cranking a bait with resistance or fighting a fish. I think I'm going to get the mechanics checked out as I think I may have messed it up somehow.
  16. Just let me know where you're going to be and I'll clue you in on the locations. Your closest location is on Rt. 19 in Lebanon. You're only about 5.5 hours away. They open at 6AM tomorrow morning. I'll meet you there for breakfast. ;D if it were only 4 hours then you'd have a deal...

There were definitely some sweet action and fight scenes. The chase through Paris was ridiculously absurd but still pretty fun to watch. I also enjoyed the "knowing is half the battle" line...
  18. FWIW, in my experience with the STX, Premier, and S vs. the Citica and Curado, the Shimanos win the casting distance challenge. Good, well whoever loses will end up a flipping or pitching reel and some other type of short distance technique.
  19. Yeah, that Revenge bluegill spinnerbait is probably the sexiest spinnerbait I've ever seen.
  20. My flipping/pitching stick is also my frog rod. I have found that I generally do not fish both baits in the same area or at the same time.
  21. Out of all my reels, I like my Fuego the LEAST. I like my Citica the best for ease of use but the new Garcias are better casters. I suspect a higher end Shimano would cast more like the Garcias so that's why I am going to get one next.
  22. you mean this one?
  23. The next time I'm going down that way I'll have to remember to check them out.

Yeah, I thought it was pretty entertaining.
