  1. ^the pink and white ring is what made me think it is an infection but then again, I'm only guessing.
  2. i was disappointed with the build quality. The one I bought was bent out of shape when I bought it and the lead head is clearly asymmetrical. I was also surprised that it started to roll a little bit when I burned it. I figured a bait designed for being burned would stay upright when retrieved at high speeds.
  3. pffft, Baja Fresh > Chipotle ;D
  4. That muskie was pretty cool. I am going to have to start looking for them in my area now.
  5. Because as of now Beaverdam is one of the only bodies of water in the area that doesn't receive a TON of fishing pressure and coincidentally, it is one of the more serene and peaceful places to fish; not to mention the fact that is is one of the best fisheries in the area...I guess in my view, there are enough places to bank fish in the area that have been ruined by high numbers of irresponsible people and just plain over usage. I see Beaverdam Creek as an oasis among our highly pressured, trashed, busy, and overfished waters.

    A Clockwork Orange
  7. I'm not hating on shore fisherman. I am a shore fisherman. I can only fish Beaverdam when I go with some of my buddies who have boats--which is rare. What I don't like are the typical shore fisherman in this area. Most of them do not respect the fisheries or their regulations. I like it being left to nature. If they made it friendlier for shore fisherman there would be 4 times the trash, big fish being taken to be eaten, and too much traffic (both on the banks and in the streets/parking lots) . There is hardly enough parking as it is.
  8. looks more like an infection than a fungus to me.
  9. clean it up? It's brush and trees, not garbage. There is another ramp on the other side of the lake from the church but I don't know how frequently the gate is open anymore. I like the fact that it isn't very friendly for shore fisherman and they have restricted access for bigger boats. It makes it more peaceful and keeps the catfisherman and other weekenders away. They won't improve it because it is owned by FFX county but they won't build on Loudoun County land.
  10. lmao, I'm glad you got a pic of Burley's fancy eye protection.
  11. x2 on everything he said. I have had the same experiences with mine.
  12. Home made.....with one of these:
  13. White perch is not just a name for white crappie. They are completely different. In the south some people erroneously call crappie white perch but white perch is a species of its own. And shad do get bigger than that. It looks like a white perch to me.
  14. They are definitely some of the best designed spinnerbaits I've thrown. Their jigs are fantastic also.
  15. I'm back. Had a great time. Thanks for having me guys, it was great. Burley, make sure to post some pics.

i think it's an awesome idea.
  17. See. It's not funny if you have to modify it... ;D
  18. Yeah, she's an idiot. She should have just settled...
  19. hilarious! It's cool to see all the places I've been to in that video. I wish he had gone to Mario's on Wilson Blvd. though. The best part was the part about the Green Line on the metro. Just so everyone knows-- the green line is the one that runs from Southeast DC (the worst part).
  20. take some tubes, some topwaters (poppers, walking baits, etc..), soft plastic jerkbaits, shakey head rigs, and senkos. You should be set with those but you could add some jigs to that list if you can carry all of that. For colors: any sort of brown. Purple has also worked well with me but varying shades of brown/green have worked the best in my experience.
  21. how do you know they are members of BR?
  22. Anyone tried the new Mad Maxx Frog yet? It looks pretty similar to a Spro frog except 50 cents cheaper. I'd like to know how well they walk, hold air, their hookup ratio, etc..
