  1. ReelMech, no wonder I had no casting distance. I put all the brakes on, thinking the opposite way : : silly me. Now I know what the problem is wow. If I was going to have it professionally done by you...how much and how long would it take? thanks -wm
  2. Thanks ReelMech. Is there any certain oil you suggest? for re-lubing? and if so where should i apply this? I have some ReelMagic also...would you suggest applying some of this? Also reelmech, on the right side of my citica when i open it up , those little pieces of plastic in there are the brakes right? I clicked all of them to the top of the little piece of metal they were on so i could be totally freespool, was that correct also? The reel is fairly new, my first time using it on the water was this spring, so it probably just needs a little lubrication. Thanks -wm
  3. I use the twin tail spinner bait trailers by ZOOM and YUM. I never fish a spinner bait without them now unless im looking for a smaller profile. When fish follow a spinner bait they are forced to make either 1 of two decisions. Strike or not to strike, Im starting to believe that little extra action on the tail is getting me strikes through experimenting. -wm
  4. Thanks for the head sup Raul.
  5. When i first put my 30lb power pro on my rod it casted amazingly far. But after about 3-4 outings im not having as much casting distance as i did the first time, with spinner baits and anything else I tie on.. Is this normal? Also I accidentally dropped my reel in the water by accident and than when i casted it went amazingly far. So i continued to dip my reel in water like every 4-5 casts to achieve that distance I wanted.. Is this healthy for the reel? Also..do you think it may need to be oiled or sprayed with reel magic? for the bearings? thanks -Mike
  6. Hello all I'm posting this in this section because I dont really want to buy it I only need it for this Saturday. I'm looking for this dragonfly lure from river2sea... Alot of the bass in the lake I have been fishing have been known to stalk dragonflys this time of year, and a guy posted a report on a website that wherever he saw a dragonfly he would cast to it with a small senko the same color as the dragonfly and catch a bass. Well im looking for the actual dragonfly lure! The lures are ridiculously pricey at $10.00 retail plus the shipping an it probably wont be here on time for the tourney (this Saturday) Thats what the lure looks like... My odds are saying that I might not have it by Saturday ..so im thinking on making my own dragonfly imitation. I was thinking on maybe getting a small senko and sticking something through it to make it have winds like a dragonfly, they would have to be clear tho, or look like real dragonfly wings? So what do you guys think? Any ideas? White Mike needs your assistance!

  8. BR has my vote -wm
  9. Chris that comment really stuck out at me.. Why would the fish do this? I don't understand? Does this happen in a lot of lakes or what? BTW good job on the fish..not your typical trophy bass trip? LOL I go out hoping to catch 3-5 pounders. Your really something else man! 8-) lol
  10. Agreed! Nice fish and nice pond....that place just looks like it screams largemouth.
  11. That article was outstanding with info, thanks a lot Jig Man!
  12. I like the buzz frogs. However for me they do roll over probably a bit more than they should, but it honestly dosent matter to me. They will still catch fish belly up or down, I just get a little ticked when its belly up on the mats sometimes. -wm
  13. Ive never tried wacky rigging before but the hardware store is right down the street from me. Im gonna go pick some up today, thanks!
  14. I tried fireline once. Last time too...
  15. I use the browning worm binder bags for my plastics as well as a falcon worm bag. The worm bag I bought from cabellas i believe and the browning worm binders at basspro. They are very useful.
  16. just goes to show you what can be done while the other anglers are at the bar sipping lemonade. -wm

  18. Thanks RellMech! that helped a lot!
  19. This weekend im having a club tournament on a lake and I know its going to be a serious frogging day. My current reel has 12lb yo zuri-hybrid on it but im willing to swap it out for the braid I have. like 30lb powerpro. I want to make sure I dont loose any fish in that slop because of stretch. Ive never added backing on any reel before unles sit was for braid not slipping. The spool of powerpro I own is only 125 yards so I want to get the most out of it. Is it possible I can put like 80 yards of mono and than add braid? Im also thinking of swapping the braid out after that day, do you suggest this?
  20. Its a bright sunny day in the middle of June 07. Sweat drips down your face as the 96 degree weather and the sun beat on you like you deserve some kind of punishment. You've fished for five strait hours now without getting a bite. Every lure you own looks uglier than it ever did before and your confidence baits have failed you terribly. The pattern you established the day before seems to have dissapeared as it was some type of miraculous dream pulling bass in the boat one after another. Being an experienced angler your mind is going in overdrive trying to put pieces of the puzzle together trying to come up with something to turn Lake X's bass back on... But how do you find these pieces? When all else fails...finding them may be tough. But in the back of your head once you put the pieces of the puzzle together you know that when you land that first fish, that 96 degree heat will soon turn into a cool air conditioned room and the sun not so hot. How do you find your missing pieces?
  21. Aurora black and american shad are 2 colors that produced for me a lot last year in sammys, and Pointers
  22. How will this be any different than VANISH? they are both made by the same company.
