12 lb big game is all you need. That reel is perfect and has a great drag. Make sure its set correctly, a 10 - 20 lb striper will give you some great runs! Happy fishing.

I didn't think about Wolfish. That would be pretty awesome. Tarpon in the Glades? The few I've seen in the Glades have always been little guys. I can take you to some areas out on the flats that are full of huge Tarpon that will eat bass tackle for lunch. I may just take you up on that.

Oh man....winter is the best fishing for stripers here on the Delta and Forebay. I look forward to it every year. Really all depends on th rain we get, as it does get pretty cold - sometimes down into the teens, but thats nothing a pair of gloves wont cure.
