We made it above freezing today , got out in the kayak and caught a few. One LM had a lamprey on the top of its head, thankfully it fell off while boating the fish. You can see the scar on its head in the picture Tried to go back upstream of the dock to catch some crappie and the water was frozen…….. called it quits after that . Beautiful day, fun paddle

I’ve only aged them by the teeth . I know they are prone to get ran over by car, poached, or just die naturally haha. It’s a good thing I don’t hunt, I love eating venison so I’d be wanting every one I saw my wife talks to the ones in the yard like they are her friends, all I can think about is grilling them

@Blue Raider Bob, had to go into the way back machine but I found some pics of my old setup. The small black round button screwed into the deck is the big foot switch, it’s a $15-$20 on/off you can tap with your foot or set to always on.

They make extension for the handle the extension with a big foot on/off switch was the best setup I ever had

Go with another handheld, I’ve got one . Had many foot controlled , definitely prefer hand operated if you must go foot controlled, minn kota edge and maxxum are tough and simple
