  1. Ha! Good thing they have 9 lives
  2. We have zebra mussels in two lakes in East Tennessee now. They will cut your line quite frequently
  3. Pretty cool and that they are offering $1 million but unfortunately I don't think they can be stopped. Maybe kept out of some places but never completely stopped. No better way to find out than put up a big cash reward
  4. Not too scary, sounds like crappie fishing to me
  5. Every super bowl in history was better than that one.
  6. Nice fish. Your boat is upside down!!!!!
  7. Fished yesterday in some big wind and light snow on the Tennessee river, action wasn't crazy good but we managed some fish, including a nice smallie. Caught it with a threadfin shad on a jighead
  8. At the top end of my home reservoir, two big rivers merge together. Yesterday one was chocolate milk and the other was pretty clear. After they flow together, there is another large tributary that flows in about 10 miles So basically the only way I can figure it out is drive around in the truck and look or phone friends that live downstream and upstream
  9. I got my degree in wildlife management and now do wildlife damage control for a living. It's all kinds of fun, already killed a sewer rat today! Haha
  10. I TRY to snag carp all the time and it ain't easy like people think. I would bet that the "no snagging" regs are to protect paddlefish. There are very short snagging seasons for paddlefish on Tennessee river but most other states don't allow it (Alabama for one)
  11. You will absolutely love it once you start catching fish on jigs. All you have to do is keep throwing them and you will start catching. I know how hard that is though, I make myself throw a spinnerbait all the time and still don't have much confidence with it
  12. Apply alcohol externally and internally in that situation
  13. I camped/smallmouth fished below Wilson dam last march. Epic fail but there were about 50,000 other bass boats that reported similar results so I didn't feel too bad
  14. That's pretty cool, thanks for the link. im lucky enough to live where I can see that in person about half the times I launch my boat, maybe more. Well I see the fishing part more, not so much the nest building. I think they also hunt a lot of ducks around here
  15. Hmmm is the water clear? What's the water temp? Worms are always a good option, some of my favorite winter baits are paddle tail shad grub, fluke on a jighead, spoon/blade bait and hair jig. Jerkbiat is also good but it helps to have clear water for that. Fish tend to suspend in winter where I fish, although they can be surprisingly shallow in flats at times and a rattle bait is the ticket
  16. Berkeley gulp minnow on 1/8 oz jig head. 2.5 inch or 3 inch
  17. He is indeed one of the best to have ever played. But that doesn't mean I have to like him
  18. I think he works out with a shake weight. Like one of those on that South Park episode ................
  19. Late seeing this post, but I can give you dozens of bank fishing spots to try. Below ft loudoun dam is probably the best, although not in Knoxville it's close. There's also a couple warm water discharges that are good in winter also
  20. I have caught lots of nice bass on dead shad. They work good on a jig head too
  21. "Is it just me" or does this discussion seem like it came from a trout magazine?
  22. All sounds like logical ideas to me and should work
