  1. Got some smallies this morning on a sassy shad . Also lost the white whale, a gar we’ve been chasing for years that is very pale and approaching 50” . It hit a dead bluegill on top. Got some video but it makes me sad hahaha. Also lost a nice LM that ate the dead bluegill and just spit it out
  2. Hartwell too far? I’ve only fished it once but it was easy pickings
  3. I’m guessing you don’t hunt ?
  4. I’d turn it in, it’s just fishing. There are plenty of state record locations around here that don’t make a difference in amount of pressure. Really only the bass records would even raise an eyebrow. Somebody recently broke world record crappie in a farm pond in the middle of nowhere I’ve really never had a fishing spot all to myself so what’s the difference ? Records seems pretty cool to track , I’m jealous of places that keep track of lake records, those don’t exist in TN
  5. I think the lighter weight will be perfect for the sea eagle , no complex equations needed for 4-6 hour trips
  6. I’m slightly jealous 😂 I would love to give up on landscaping. Every year
  7. Drove up into some swift water and caught some, still got bugs in my eyes from the drive back to the truck in the dark
  8. Yes sir !
  9. “Not enough dirt. Seen it right off”
  10. I’ve chucked and winded it for at least 25 or so yrs haha
  11. Best: passion and persistence, ability to withstand heat worst: spinnerbait
  12. And a down jacket??? Man I hope I need one of those before thanksgiving 😂 nice fishes
  13. That’s why I love my zoysia grass , it’s maintenance free other than mowing and only grows about 4 months out of the year 😂
  14. Just keeping them fresh enough to cook after the game
  15. Unfortunately you’d have to ask a fish but I can definitely hear it while swimming haha. Granted I still get hungry while swimming as well
  16. @Pogues2300, we all like what we like, no worries. St. John’s river tournament also had a lot of old school elements even tho Johnston blew it away. The recency bias plays heavily into the offseason discussion as well because they always end on clear deep smallmouth water
  17. It was old school fishin, FFS doesn’t help much on TN river because of all the “trash fish” and lack of suspended bass Mostly just dragging worms around on bottom, chatterbait, deep cranking, jigging spoons it seems the leader of the anti FFS movement also conveniently missed it , that or anti content sells a lot better than positive content
  18. Did you watch wheeler ?
  19. Congrats!
  20. My red neck $!?@ would be running it off a lawn mower battery 😂 but with the results @Alex from GA and @VolFan had, hard not to go that route
  21. Nice report. I skip way better/more easily from a seated position on kayak
