  1. It’s what came on there , it stays underwater is why I’m guessing they don’t use copper the ground straps aren’t designed to carry current the way I understood it, just divert shorts and are a sacrificial lamb so the motor doesn’t catch fire the negative wire under the cowl that stays dry is thick copper and grounded to the starter . The straps from upper to middle to lower get wet and are stainless by design. They don’t want to be conductive, they want to stop the energy
  2. John cox doesn’t have spot lock either
  3. They are adjacent
  4. Jighead minnow is MIA
  5. And watching the classic, it’s jig, jerkbait, crankbait, chatterbait, and spinnerbait. Recency bias is strong
  6. And didn’t you say that all the efforts of the DNR go to protect the walleye? Probably explains why they are dwindling 😂
  7. I see several loons working together as well as solitary birds
  8. Thats what I was thinking, I’d love to conduct that scientific study. In college we called those days “make stuff up and then go fishing”
  9. I met Cherry at the 2019 classic, he was working the floor. He’s as big as a pro linebacker. I said why aren’t you fishing, didn’t realize he had missed the classic that year. Then I told him good luck in the next one and he won two in a row 😂. You’re welcome Hank
  10. They only seem able to accomplish it below dams here and it definitely looks exhausting, they have to take turns casting and ripping because they get so tired.
  11. I’ve got a merc EFI the black ignition wire is grounded to the starter then you have ground straps going from top to middle, middle to lower unit, and then to the trim cylinder like you mentioned. One of my ground straps caught on fire and burned thru while the boat was in the parking lot. @galyonj isolated the problem and found a little nick in my depth finder wire that was touching the hull and causing the ground strap to glow hot, it’s a sacrificial lamb so the motor doesn’t catch fire . I just replaced it with stainless steel picture hanging wire
  12. Had an hour or two free, decided to try the mouth of crackhead creek again while listening to the classic weigh-in. The blanket of shad was thick so I would just snag one and pitch it out on a different rod under a bobber. Nothing was chasing it for a while out in the current break so I tossed it right up into the garbage flow in shallow clear water and caught two LM. One was them was a decent one! Pretty fish considering where they live amongst all the trash
  13. The boat launch is a long way from the arena
  14. And you’re Barney Rubble…… don’t give up on cox he’s a fixture at the top half of AOY standings
  15. Awesome
  16. The top “scopers” aren’t doing that well outside of Cody Huff and they think he caught his ultra shallow.
  17. Cherry is letting some big ones go flipping under this dock , he must have a sack full
  18. Blaylock has a good bag rumor has it
  19. @gimruis, fujita just boated a keeper with a spinnerbait in a laydown
  20. Looks like Palanuik lost the lunker of the day so far
  21. Christie starts us off with a meanmouth on a spook
  22. @NorcalBassin, the big orange appreciates your support! I was at some Alan Houston games a youngster (we were bad back then tickets were under $10 and they let you move down to the front row after halftime. I was a student during the Pearl era, fun times although he is now the enemy. I was at the game when we beat auburn this yr, pretty good atmosphere . The place was packed up to the rafters The reason we can’t beat Purdue is because they always beat us 😂, even at football
  23. You are correct although I had to work thru it. Cautiously optimistic as we TN fans have to keep our orange and white checkerboard athletic supporter at the ready. Been kicked in the groin enough to stay prepared 😂
