  1. @Woody B, sounds like you forgot livescope is cheating and the fish just jump in the boat when you turn it on. Yours was off and got two 6’s???!!! I heard Andrew upshaw tell a story of the bassmaster open on santee where he wasted 3.5 hours on a bed fish he saw on sonar. Missed it dozens of times. He finally caught it and it was a 3 lb crappie 😂
  2. @thediscochef, I just had to smile and laugh when all the customers told me “they built that shopping center over there so all the animals had to come live at my house” yeah I’m sure that’s what happened ……..
  3. @ol'crickety, ouch! That sounds brutal. This winter was the first since I started driving that I couldn’t fish for a spell and it lasted 9-10 days, roads were solid ice and some of the water was too. Old man winter likes to hang on too long sometime, hoping you thaw out quickly and get back after them
  4. A Cherokee can tow a yacht, I’ve seen it . Especially if it has the in line 6. Give yourself plenty of room to slow and stop and you’re all good. Plenty of power is good but it’s mostly about the guy holding the steering wheel. All the motor has to do is make the wheels roll
  5. When it’s cold they lay their bellies in the mud , you can see it still stuck on there when you reel them in. Mother Earth is warm
  6. @Pat Brown, how did you get no winter and I got triple winter ?? 😂 😂 🥶 awesome fishes everyone
  7. Yep and they don’t have to leave like everyone thinks when they cut trees and build stuff. They adapt and live under your house or in the attic haha. You could go squirrel hunting in the woods and have a hard time finding one but i trapped them out of peoples houses forever
  8. Hahahahahaha you crack me up man . Bass don’t get much bigger than 5 lbs here, we need to take a road trip apparently 😂
  9. My buddy had a trail cam photo with 5-6 antlered bucks a week or two ago. Silly things didn’t read the manual
  10. Dual purpose means starting and deep cycle, works for either. I’ve had one or two over the years and they did fine. They are/were pretty common on the shelves of auto parts stores. Not AGM tho to the original question yes people use AGM for cranking, not sure why you can’t find one tho. I haven’t shopped for batteries in a while but I might look around out of curiosity, gives me an excuse to walk thru academy 😂
  11. I don’t know @Woody B, I’ve picked up many water snakes and they bite like crazy. They are much quicker than their terrestrial friends
  12. I have vast experience in that regard. Habitat is all about food and all the food is near people, every backyard here has a dozen skunks but you could hike the national park for years and never see one. Critters have it tough in the wilderness but there is food laying everywhere in the city . Well irrigated lawns full of worms and grubs, bird feeders , pet food, and garbage
  13. Nice fish! Definitely looks near flooded , we had a fully washer yesterday as well that murked things up
  14. Lake Ontario I would want a double decker yacht 😂 I used to have a trolling motor that had the remote as well as a remote foot pedal, I would imagine that’s still and option ?
  15. Thanks @AlabamaSpothunter and @ol'crickety. The bass boat traffic doesn’t seem to bother the birds, I guess they are all used to it by now. The gulls even follow the propwash like it’s the ocean
  16. Had from 8-12 to fish this morning , got down to the dock and the water was yohoo chocolate drink . Paddled out to the main river channel and it was blue, pretty cool contrast tossed around a Texas rig with 2/0 gamakatsu nano alpha hook on spinning rod with 6 lb tatsu while waiting on my cutbait to get hit (never had a nibble on the cutbait). Got 4 smaller bass, LM SM and meanmouth. The new hooks penetrated the fish mouths nicely. 3 bald eagles were flying around chirping at me , when they flew low over the water loons would call out a warning. Also saw some wood ducks and mallards and an Osprey, fun morning also had a bass boat pull right in front of me and start fishing but similar to @Woody B they left in less that 5-10 minutes
