  1. I never thought Knoxville could hold one either but they did, the classics worked way better than the regular elite event. 52-54 anglers is way more manageable than 102, several anglers were late for takeoff during the regular event because the ramp was so backed up
  2. That’s what I was thinking or maybe a stroke or some other medical emergency. Sad stuff, we never know our own expiration but we’ve all got one
  3. Still way over 5
  4. If only they would stop spraying the weeds and give us something to punch……
  5. Way way more
  6. 100,000 seats at $200 and up??? Lot more than 5 million dollars on a Saturday in Knoxville. Couple more zeros on the end of that number and that’s just tickets, not counting hotels, airBNB, restaurants, etc
  7. Mine do that on my 1957 boat, mainly because I’ve been putting them on top of each other since the mid 1990s 😂
  8. Yeah we are supposed to get some rain today and severe stuff tomorrow, I’m glad I live on a big hill haha problem is, most of my normal fishing haunts have thick chocolate milk water
  9. Had a wild storm Friday night/early Saturday morning that laid trees down everywhere. We were luckier than a community just north in London, KY that had a big tornado killing 14-17 people from what I’ve heard
  10. In the words of the late Capt Kenny , “mother nature will steal your lunch and %#+* in the sack”
  11. Depends on how broke and how hillbilly you are…….. yall probably know my stance 😂 my current spare is a nearly brand new tire I wore wrong by limping along a leaky tire if that tells you anything…….. Granted I have only used a spare to get to the tire store, and the only time I’ve ran into trouble was on Memorial Day when everything was closed
  12. That guy could catch them in a water fountain inside a bank
  13. You’re right , it was Friday night not Saturday
  14. Always rain even when it’s not predicted 😂 my neighborhood is trees down everywhere from Saturday night storm
  15. I love it when they go to non elite fisheries, like when they had the bassmaster classic in Pittsburgh and Chicago. Heck they’ve even had it in my hometown in Knoxville twice and about to be a third time, the opposite of an elite fishery. It’s much more relatable watching them fish somewhere tough than it is watching them reel in constant 7-8 lbers in Texas/mexico
  16. Japanese “scopers” are fishing very well without their scopes, take that keyboard warriors 😂 @king fisher, the anglers all seem to love it, as do lots of fans watching on TV, internet, and record crowds at weigh ins. They had one of the local businessman that puts the event on and he said it raises four to $5 million for the community. The reason they don’t go places has nothing to do with logistics or driving, it’s all about the local Chamber of Commerce wanting them there. If you want them to come to your town, you better pony up.
  17. Murked up. Holston is the best right now but it’s pretty stained
  18. Koz’s kayaking korner
  19. Taku punching
  20. @casts_by_fly, definitely helps my back!
  21. I usually bring my backpack in whatever vessel I choose for the day. Or I take it bank fishing. In my super tiny kayaks I usually just take one small dry bag
  22. Praying for ya buddy!
  23. Little evening trip turned out nice!! Really just needed to get the boat off the trailer to put new U bolt hangers on the winch post a la @gim, but a 20” 3.6 lb smallie showed up to eat my buddy’s wal mart jerkbait again. Also found crappie largemouth sunfish and catfish
  24. ITO!!!!!
