  1. The least they could do is bring over a plate of fried fish.......
  2. @jbsoonerfan, 2 is always better than none
  3. I never catch anything out in the woods, right up against people’s house is where you can rack up haha. I can catch 15-20 critters (skunks, raccoons, and possums) in fairly quick order with cage traps set up against the siding of lots and lots of houses. I think a few species of animals have changed their diet from what they can find in the woods to what they can find in a neighborhood. Some of our customers have trail cams and they are always shocked by how many different critters are in their yard every night. Lots of customers see foxes in their yards daily, it’s like the discovery channel! Neighborhoods are always full of pet food, bird seed, garbage, and well irrigated lawns full of worms and grubs. The woods are full acorns, hickory nuts, and bugs.....
  4. Water still a cool 66 degrees, a lot of stuff still shallow.
  5. Well I’ve been experimenting with a poor mans ned rig. My buddy Tyler gave me a handful of jigheads so that part was free......... ripped a gander mtn stickbait in half and fish were thumping it. I was banging on the drum! Even mister Walter grabbed it . Water temp 66! And I went swimming...... brrrrrrr
  6. @Bluebasser86, not that big........ why I oughta........ looks like some beauts to me!
  7. I do better 99% of the time but the 1% can stay in the woods. Raccoon roundworm is not something you want to step in
  8. I’ve been using that tactic to no avail, I think I’ll just throw the buzz bait or a toad
  9. You are the perfect candidate for fly fishing for trout haha. I bet flies are still fully stocked!
  10. They clearly eat the small ones in my neck of the woods but not the big ones. And I only have 1 of them and it’s huge......This conclusion is based on massive amounts of research. My buddies throw the small ones and catch fish, the big ones have still never landed anything in a few years
  11. Following........ my fiancé has a wide kayak with a high seat.
  12. Knock on the door and ask if they’d rather have it in the flower beds or in the toilet ........ And flies....... I’ve never packed THAT and hope I never do. If mine is more harmful Than that from a beaver, raccoon, deer, possum, skunk, hog, otter, then oh well it’s staying right where I leave it
  13. Come on man....... you honestly are asking for advice on where to poop?? Haha. This is a daily dilemma for dogs.........I feel it is much more difficult to turn on a computer and log on to a forum and ask the question than to figure out where to use the bathroom..... hahah. But to answer the question, I hit the bank in times of emergency
  14. Minnow on a jig! Best of both worlds
  15. At least you have fish trying to eat the plopper........ mine goes completely ignored for months on end
  16. Clearly you’ve never tried catching bait. It’s quite challenging at times. I often opt to use artificial because it’s easier than catching bait. Catching hot dogs is reliable tho and you can eat them when the bite is slow
  17. Any evidence of shad flipping around on the banks there this morning?
  18. Plus cast net and hot dogs
  19. Those bast&@$s!!! Who do they think they are??? Hahaha
  20. I have two of those model depth finders. You have to be moving to get the fish arch. You probably aren’t going to clearly “mark” many fish in 5-6 feet of water with any unit (except side imaging), you just about have to bump them with your boat to do so
  21. I know a couple old timers that say tobacco and alcohol are far and away the most addictive things there are and they tried them all. Ironically they are both legal and widely distributed
  22. I want to go.......
