I fished lake fork about this time of year in '07. If you don't hit a stump you didn't fish hard enough

I still use ambassadeur 4600s, and 5000s. I have several of each, one is from the 60s I think. Caught a 43” gar with it last summer that was peeling drag (65lb braid) and jumping like a marlin. I checked the drag after the fight and i could barely pull line with my hand.

If you’ve never broken a rod, you were long overdue

Had a fun Saturday with a shadow rap, my buddy even beached his boat below a dam and started walking around catching smallies. I also found a chatter bait in a tree

We have regular 2.08 and pure gas for the boat 2.59

Its crazy, I don't even go there and it's less than 2 hours away and full of 10 lbers.

I tend to use one under 3” . I’ve even used the 1” for panfish and a big smallmouth always seems to find it. I use them on round jig heads with open hooks 100% of the time

That would be cool but I’m guessing it’s more likely that they don’t have the tournaments

Ive done that many times in south Alabama, I've got video of a 10-12 footer swimming right by the boat. They show no signs of wanting to crawl into your boat, although the small ones will chase any lure over and over

Its hard to get sneezed on if youre sitting on a main lake point with the boat in 12 feet of water casting into 6..... Ok except maybe at chickamauga

No matter which jerkbait I use, the ones that are blue on the back and orange on the belly get hit the most. I've heard others have similar results

I can't believe there have been multiple votes for paddle tail swimbaits. The number of fish I've caught on sassy shad type baits is far too many to count . Anything from creme to keitech will produce if the tail moves. You do get a dud every once in a while, use those to drop on crappie and hold still

Those mean ole brown bass would infect the virus. Similar to what Chuck Norris would do
