Yes that’s Loudon right below the dam. It’s way wider above the dam! Haha. The current is ripping right now but it’s been rainy recently. When it’s dry the current is off and on.

30-45 minutes. I took this picture in Lenoir city the other day, there’s a lot of huge fish that live in that area

I catch a lot of river smallies in the dead center of the river. People think I’m crazy not casting to shore. You’re right though, it’s almost always summer when it happens. I try it year round

My initial guess is nothing but I’ve never looked at them side by side. I’ve also never noticed they have different spelling but now that you mention it, I’ve had several of each over the years

I agree with @Bluebasser86, it’s hard to catch a bass that you are looking at. If you see them, it’s over, move on. If the only thing in the pond is bass and gills, I’d fish with a live gill

They still haven’t found them. Lots of volunteers/boats out searching yesterday, Tyson chicken provided lunch for all the people searching. They changed it from a rescue mission to a recovery mission as there is no chance of survival

I saw some Shad flipping Pretty aggressively on the surface near my house today. The gizzards usually don’t even die off, mainly all threadfin. I have often times netted the Shad and taken them out into the current where there weren’t so many and had better luck there. But since I know where you are fishing tomorrow I would say run up the river and throw a red crankbait

I don’t fish everyday but I fish a whole lot. I can’t imagine it any other way but you’ve got to be happy everyday no matter what happens
