Finally seeing some fish
I’ve never really seen many bass on a bed except in ponds and shallow rivers. This year I’ve been seeing bunches, either the conditions are right this year or maybe I’m just getting better at finding them. In a total twist of irony, there is a bed right next to my dock! Complete with both a male and female bass! I think the female is 2-3 lbs and the male is about 1. My buddy tried to catch them for 2-3 minutes, they weren’t having it haha. I think we would have tried a little harder if it was 7 lbs.......

Why lighter line ALWAYS wins ?
You could launch the jig into outer space that way!

Why lighter line ALWAYS wins ?
12 lb mono is good strong stuff. It held a 30 + lb striper for me this spring. Gotta have braid in scum though

I believe UAB plays in Knoxville this year. I'm a little nervous after what the dragons pulled off last season- 2020 BASS Masters Classic
Just ribbing ya! I've never actually been in the city outside of my truck. We have to take shots at bama any way we can since we can't compete on the gridiron- 2020 BASS Masters Classic
And Birmingham is not nearly as cool as Knoxville- Smallmouth baits non craws
I consider a tube a “craw bait.” I catch most of my smallmouth (and largemouth) with a plastic worm- Invasive species effect on LMB?
Sounds like the same bottom line associated with 99 percent of exotic species, not just bass fishing specific- Wading boots for slippery mossy rocks
I think a lot of the newer research, especially with didymo, has found that felt soles don’t transfer algae any more than any other kind of shoe. A lot of the felt sole bans have been lifted. The key is to dry out your shoes (no matter what kind) before hopping from one watershed to another- Ice out techniques?
I think it means the same as when they slurp that motionless thing up quick as “I’ll get out.” Or is it “all get out”- Power plant spawn

Hang in there buddy! Prayers sent- Latest Catch Pics Thread
@Looking for the big one, those are some toad spots. I’ve had the pleasure to battle a few like that in the Alabama river and I was lucky to live through it!- 06 May 2019 ~ Post Rain Toads
Good gracious. Awesome job. I catch a dozen 4 pounders in a year. A good year.........- Managed to get 3 back to back Maine fishing days in!!
Holy smokes , pretty fish. Nice work- What do you bank fishing guys do to help with ticks.
I found one on me last week two days in a row. One was a lone star tick, the other is the one pictured. Not sure what species but they are extremely common around here in the woods- Why do some bass not have a well defined lateral line?
The same reason I don't look like Brad Pitt. Every individual is different- Does wiping the slime off fish not matter anymore?
Always rinse the slime off before eating...........- Latest Catch Pics Thread
We used tin snips yesterday, it wasn't too tough this go around. Experience seems to be helping with the cleaning effort. We had chicken and beef tacos as well for the not so crazy guests haha. - 2020 BASS Masters Classic
