  1. Black bass triple crown topped off by beautiful sunset
  2. I netted the drum for my buddy and asked if he wanted a picture. He said no so I took one anyway haha
  3. It’s pretty diverse here but I usually forget to count. Since last night is fresh on my mind, we caught 2 rock bass, one smallmouth, a bunch of white bass, a drum and a walleye. Could have easily caught a yellow bass, largemouth, spotted bass, bluegill, skipjack herring, or various sunfish and catfish in the same area. And occasionally sauger striper and wiper
  4. I’m sure the browns will take him too
  5. They would rather make their money off the people that follow the rules and pay for license and registration
  6. We catch them all the time in Alabama. Bass fight way harder believe it or not. Go Vols beat them Florida Gators!!
  7. I always eat mine without the jelly. Reese's creamy peanut butter. sometimes I skip the bread too!
  8. I've eaten 3 of them. Not bad
  9. Are you trying to send me on another snipe hunt?? I cut ones head all open and found no rocks. I think it's what my elders tell me to pull my leg
  10. Glad to have you back reporting on the quabbin smallmouth . Nice fish !!!
  11. I've lived in the same area my whole life and I'm a fishing junkie so there are no new bodies of water haha. But there are lots of small Creeks way up in the national park I haven't tried. It's usually 4 inch Brook trout up there though
  12. Gotcha thanks. I'm not much of a gear guy so I'll skip the expo and save myself a few hours of travel
  13. The fishing part should be cool and of course I love to see it on my home river 2 years in a row. But you sure won't catch me in Birmingham unless I'm hammered down in the fast lane on my way to a fishing vacation. I might drive my boat around again next year , @BigSkyBasserand I did this year and it's pretty cool seeing those guys go by. Does anyone know the exact dates?
  14. Yes I wade those all the time . Fun stuff
  15. TnRiver46 replied to Flatrock's topic in Fishing Reports
    Congrats!!!
  16. I think I’ve fished it 3 times and my biggest was about 2 lb on frog in the slop. It is cool to see a lake with scum on it , they kill all that on most lakes upstream
  17. Wow glad you’re back at it! Nice fish, I haven’t caught a largemouth anywhere near that big this year
  18. I saw a customer shoot a snake with rat shot and it was just bouncing off the snake. Then he put a regular LR round in there and killed it first shot
  19. That's the hardest place I've ever tried to catch a bass, at the hardest time of year to boot. Too many people. My only advice is don't get too focused on thinking about "the spawn" and just go fishing. It's all anyone ever talks about and Ive seen plenty of people worry themselves to death about prespawn post spawan blah blah blah. Sometime its nice to just drag a plastic worm around near the boat launch, results can be surprising. Lots of people have won a tournament down there in Chester frost when their engine wouldn't start . Those two fish you have in the picture would be the best trip ever to chickamauga for me
  20. Because it is 100 percent beyond the shadow of any doubt a LMB. You know more about catching them than I ever will but this isn't the first time on here you've misidentified spotted bass. We had to distinguish between species all throughout college that had been in jars of formalin since the sixties. No color or markings on these fish so you had to use the more reliable identifying characters. I guarantee that if you show the picture of the OPs bass to any knowledgeable fisheries expert they will tell you is pure micropterus salmoides as it has NOT A SINGLE identifying characteristic of a micropterus punctatus
  21. It all depends on how far south. I'll Wade anything anywhere near me but I don't want to suck into quicksand muck in a Louisiana Marsh . Here's what happened to my buddy wading in Edisto trying to net some bait hahaha! Boy did he smell rotten for a few hours
  22. I’ve never fished it but the dam is leaking so they have it waaaaaaay down. This will work to your advantage as a bank fisherman, you could be able to walk around most of where the lake used to be and cast. There are a lot of largemouth, smallmouth, hybrid, and stripers in Boone, also some monstrous brown trout
