  1. I believe UAB plays in Knoxville this year. I'm a little nervous after what the dragons pulled off last season
  2. Just ribbing ya! I've never actually been in the city outside of my truck. We have to take shots at bama any way we can since we can't compete on the gridiron
  3. And Birmingham is not nearly as cool as Knoxville
  4. I consider a tube a “craw bait.” I catch most of my smallmouth (and largemouth) with a plastic worm
  5. Sounds like the same bottom line associated with 99 percent of exotic species, not just bass fishing specific
  6. I think a lot of the newer research, especially with didymo, has found that felt soles don’t transfer algae any more than any other kind of shoe. A lot of the felt sole bans have been lifted. The key is to dry out your shoes (no matter what kind) before hopping from one watershed to another
  7. I think it means the same as when they slurp that motionless thing up quick as “I’ll get out.” Or is it “all get out”
  8. Welcome to bass resource! Sorry I can’t help you with warm water discharges as they are a big no-no in my neck of the woods after the Kingston ash spill years ago on Christmas.
  9. Hang in there buddy! Prayers sent
  10. @Looking for the big one, those are some toad spots. I’ve had the pleasure to battle a few like that in the Alabama river and I was lucky to live through it!
  11. Good gracious. Awesome job. I catch a dozen 4 pounders in a year. A good year.........
  12. Holy smokes , pretty fish. Nice work
  13. I found one on me last week two days in a row. One was a lone star tick, the other is the one pictured. Not sure what species but they are extremely common around here in the woods
  14. The same reason I don't look like Brad Pitt. Every individual is different
  15. Always rinse the slime off before eating...........
  16. We used tin snips yesterday, it wasn't too tough this go around. Experience seems to be helping with the cleaning effort. We had chicken and beef tacos as well for the not so crazy guests haha.
  17. WE weren’t expecting much this morning for a half day with tons of current and water in the high 50s. Still eating the little finesse worm, got a 19”, 18”, 17” and several 12-15” . And gar tacos for cinco de mayo!
  18. @Bluebasser86, I haven’t broken out the jig yet this year. I might be inspired enough to do it today now! @Mbirdsley, “fair weather” changes by the minute so you’ve gotta chance it sometimes. I got caught in a wild storm yesterday. I was looking directly at the boat ramp and had no clue where it was. We went to eat fried chicken for about an hour and it cleared off! My buddy came into town from Memphis so we were fishing despite the forecast. Fished about 10 out of 11 hours completely dry, most stayed at home
  19. Another triple crown day
  20. Hahahaha my cousin tells me the exact same story
  21. I see several beaver most every evening swimming around and slapping their tails. We also have muskrat, mink, otter, big ole sewer rats, swimming raccoons, you name it. Some of the scariest can be when an osprey dive bombs into the water right next to the trolling motor
