  1. A little late to the discussion but @Jig Man is correct. Start in reverse so you score the fiberglass. As far as the hole saw, use one with more teeth and let the teeth do the work. When I did plumbing I had to drill holes in bathtubs. Talk about being a nervous wreck the first couple of times I did that! I couldn’t imagine doing on a boat.
  2. Summer is here? 38* this morning when I left for work. Is it top water season or hard water season? 😂
  3. @LrgmouthShad that’s the spirit! You’re a glass half full guy, I like that. That’s three more weeks you could fish Lake Menderchuck! As long as you live another 49 years 49 weeks, and the lake, oops I meant body of water (there I go giving up another clue) doesn’t dry up!
  4. Here’s another hint. It’s one of the blue circle thingies inside the blue circle thingy I drew.
  5. You’re more likely to figure out what Springfield the Simpsons live in than where Lake Menderchuck is. 😁
  6. Welcome to Bassresource
  7. @Eric 26 it’s funny you mention it. The last couple outings I haven’t had the numbers I’m looking for and it dawned on me I've kept my spinnerbait setup at home which consists of the Seviin reel. Even though it’s been riding the pine the last couple trips, I haven’t had any issues with it at all. The casts are still smooth with good distance, the brakes are still perfect, and everything is still tight. I haven’t and won’t take the reel apart (I’m 1-2 on taking reels apart 😁).
  8. All of my setups with the exception of two or three are straight braid, no leader. I’ve used the high vis and marker trick over the years. A year or so ago I discovered Seaguar Tactix braid which is a camo pattern so no more markers! Problem solved.
  9. The spawn has come and gone for most here, but tonight we have 55* lows. Figure that one out!
  10. It’s a baseball field, the fence is 350’+. Their home field albeit not the greatest, does have a grass infield, is their normal field. In this area they prefer dirt over grass because of the up keep. Their “normal” field is pretty much all clover and weeds. We’re in the country so like we say, “ you get what you and you don’t throw a fit.” We’re not in the city anymore Dorthy.
  11. I’ve heard good things about the Silverado with the baby duramax. I’d look there.
  12. 6poundbass can sling the football pretty well so, he tried his hand at baseball this year. Last night he was the starting pitcher. He started off a little rough with some walks but found his groove. 2IP 4k 4BB 2H 0ERA
  13. I tried posting the coordinates to lake Menderchuck before. I won’t be making that mistake again. Let’s just say @A-Jay still has connections to Boston.
  14. Welcome back!
  15. Michigan sports or 11,000 lakes and thousands of miles of rivers I’m not shelling out a dime except for the park pass which @MIbassyaker already mentioned was $14/year.
  16. @clayton86 have you done a family history check? Somewhere along the line you must have feline in you because it sure sounds like you have nine lives!
  17. Does stage 4 cancer count? If so put me down.
  18. Back about 25 years ago on the lake my good friend lived on a lady was going the wrong way on a jet ski and was struck by a speed boat as they were both coming around a bend in the lake. There were parts of her that were not found that evening. We went out fishing the next morning. The area was cordoned off and we stayed well away from it. Needless to say I didn’t fish very long. The thought of possibly (although unlikely) of bringing up a body part rather than a fish creeped me out!
  19. Reaction Innovations Sweet Beaver would be my go to! Sorry, I couldn’t resist. 😁
  20. Well done @A-Jay ! @gimruis I can’t keep up either! I’m sitting with a total weight of a about 6.5lbs over the last five years. 😂
  21. Welcome to Bassresource
  22. Sorry to hear that Allen. Hopefully they’ll get you squared away soon.
  23. Thursday was Mrs. 12poundbass’s birthday. Our son had a baseball game Thursday so last night was her night to do what she wanted. She wanted to go fishing, but skunked. I only caught three fish and all three were pike. Thankfully, the @Siebert Outdoors Fogy survived all three attacks.
  24. Happened to my son last year. Not fun.
