They Just Don't Work Here
This summer on my two home lakes the frog bite stopped cold right after it got very hot. I've been fishing two times a week, getting out at 5:30am, and the frog bite is still dead. Whopper Ploppers have been good though.

Spinning with 10lb Braid with 8-12lb Fluro?
I use 10lb braid to 10-12 leaders all the time with no issues. I however only tie the FG knot.

A small portable and stable boat
Those water jugs crack very easily, one small bump on a rock and that's it.

Terminal tackle storage for smaller pieces?
I just picked up a Gamakatsu box that is really nice with tight tolerances. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Gamakatsu_G-Box_Utility_Case_3200/descpage-GGB.html

Yellow Line
Power pro original or Super Slick V2 or 832, both are great lines. I like the lime green 832, it’s easy to watch

Who sells/makes the best line cutter?
They dull pretty quickly. They used to be my go to, but now I use the Cuda 5" shear. Much longer lasting.

Who sells/makes the best line cutter?
I have a bunch of Boomerang cutters. They are good when new, but after a year of cutting 30lb braid and 15 and 20lb flouro, they wont cut braid cleanly. When I need to cut braid cleanly, I will now only use one tool, the Cuda 5" Shear. It's cheaper than the Boomerang, and lasts way longer. Also, it's great for trimming plastic baits. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Cuda_5_Braid_Shear/descpage-CBSC.html These shears cut CLEAN!

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
I bought a Fenwick Elite Tech Walleye spinning rod years ago that came like that. I'm still fishing it today with no issues. Hopefully yours will be fine.

AL uses some thick rod tubes. That must have really been hit hard.

Spinning reels just aren’t fun anymore
I think you need to re-read this post. He said he has 50/50 spinning gear.

Does anyone have both the Tatula SV 103, AND the Coastal SV?
Don't ever say that to a lady!

Popular baits you have given up on
The Yum Bad Mamma, and Wooly Bug are two of my favorite baits, and some of the least expensive out there. As well as the Yomomma. I started using these because of the lower price, and never missed out on anything.
- Braid to fluorocarbon leader best small knot
- 5 whopper plopper colours... eliminate one.

Curado K 70 MGL
Both of mine developed a rough feeling after 3 months of use. Great reels otherwise.

Top water set up
I recently help a St Croix Mojo Bass 6'8" top water rod and it felt great. I wasn't much of a fan of the first Mojo line, but this rod felt great. It would feel great with an Sv tw on it.

Gonna try wacky rig tomorrow
I've been killing it with my summer rig. 5" stick bait with two split rings (to make an X) and an 1/8oz wacky jig head. I like the old Cabela's stick bait, BPS Stik-O, Yum Dingers the best. Seems like any color works.

Looks like Daiwa is issuing a new version of that series. Maybe the older models will be on sale soon.
