I love the new Daiwa Tatula bass rods. I have a medium 6'8" spinning rod that is super sensitive and light. I happened to compare it to an e6x and it felt more balanced and lighter. I also have a 6'10" MH casting rod that is just as nice. I bought both of mine on Ebay for $110.00 ea. It's a very sensitive and comfortable line of rods. The cork handles are excellent.

The Cabelas advanced angler bags (the green and black ones) are the best I've seen regardless of cost. Cabela's 3.5" and 5" swimsuits are fantastic!

I have a Tatula 150. It's a pretty tight reel, feels super solid. I have been using Lew's 6.3oz reels for a long time so the 8oz Tatula 150 felt a little heavy at first, until I got used to it. Very nice casting and retrieving reel.

This is correct. You will be better off with the 704.

Those suspending jerk baits? I'm guessing you dig them already??? I've heard that they're pretty good.

Hello I'm not familiar with that rod. Here's my 2 cents on other options if interested. Dobyns Sierra Extra fast 7'3" Mag Heavy on sale at TW right now for $119. I also like the Fury version of this rod but it has a slightly slower action. Both are very nice.

I'm a McCoy clear user. 15lb and 17lb for jigs and T Rigs. It's a super strong line and really limp. It lays nice and straight making bite detection easy. Knots tie very well too. It's the most issue free line I have ever used.

I would recommend the new Daiwa Tatula bass rod series. The 6'8" medium with a Tatula LT 3000 (shallow spool version) would be able to do everything great. It's so light and balanced as a rig you will love it. It's a very sensitive rod and is really well made. To me it's much more comfortable than the Elite Series because of the handle, and IMO way better looking. I would save the money. I also have 3 St Croix LTB rods which I love, but this rig has blown me away. It's designed to be an all around rod and it is. My 2 cents.

The new Tatula Bass rod line is excellent too. I have a 6'6" Med. and a 6'10" Med. and both are killer light weight rods. I prefer the cork grips over the foam. Very similar to the Elites in feel but some of the technique specific in the Elite line are more specialized. There's the new Tatula Bass rods available on ebay for $98.00! I got both of mine from the seller and they are perfect. My 2 cents.

Try out the McCoy copolymer. It's super limp and is a great problem free line. Decent price too. I've use 6,12,15,17 and all have been great.

The 735 is an excellent pitching, frog, and also jig and T-rig rod. I also dig it with Whopper Ploppers. I have mine set up with 17lb McCoy line and it's a tough setup. I use braid on it when frogging. For less thick stuff I love the 734 for the same rigs with 15lb McCoy line.

It's supposed to be on the 1000 yd spool perfectly level like this. That's one of the selling points.

I love them. I use the 1/16 and 1/8oz sizes in the Bitsy Bug jig with 8-10lb Power Pro with a 8lb leader. They are not the best in very thick cover because the weed guard on them is on the thin side, but will bounce through less thick stuff pretty well. They are light so they sink slowly and don't plow into cover, I try to bounce them through stuff. They catch tons of fish and are an excellent small size for shallow water and certain situations. I also like the Bitsy Flip a lot, and use it in the thick stuff. In that style I like the 1/4-3/8oz size. I like to tinker so, I always modify both by re-tying the skirts with wire because the skirts will fall off after some fish with the the rubber band that come on them. Using the wire also makes the skirts flare out more. Another trick I have used with the Bisty Bug (not the flip) is to stiffen the weed guard. I put a touch of Crazy Glue by the base of the weed guard, let it dry for 2-3min. If you made it too stiff you can still pull it apart to make is less stiff again. For me they are worth it to tinker with because they are so cheaply priced, and I catch tons of fish on them. That's my 2 cents

The 6'8 MH-F 2018 LTB is the business. I think the balance is incredible with a Daiwa Tatula Type R and a Lew's Pro G. It floats in the hand. It's super sensitive and is my main bottom contact rod for jigs and texas rigs. The handle is super comfortable. I also have a LT Walleye 6'6" ML spinning rod and it's amazing too. It's a perfect all around rod for spinning rod finesse bass styles. I used to have older Loomis IMX rods which I loved but these new Legends are just plain more comfortable and fun to fish.

I love the 8 speed reels for jigs, texas rigs, frogs, and sometime jerk baits. The rest I use 7 speed reels and one 6.3 for slower presentations.

Have you heard of McCoys brand Mean Green or Clear copolymer? It's so much more limp than even Trilene XL. It's really fantastic line and reasonably priced too. I used to use XL for ever but two years ago I switched to McCoys and have to say is much better on casting and spinning rods. It's excellent for texas rigs and jigs too. I also use Big Game sometimes for a leader on braided line.

Hey people I have been using a small safety pin spinner for smallmouth for years with either a worm piece or small soft jerk bait on a 1/16 or 1/8oz jighead for years with great luck. My own Beetle Spin spinnerbait style. I like stickbait pieces and the smallest fluke with a size one blade. I caught lots of 2-4lb SMB and a bunch of LMB, Pike and panfish too. Anyone else like this style for Smallmouth?
