  1. Ain't no way I'd keep chucking the same lure over and over again. Unless the bite was unreal and that's all they wanted. They would have to be good sized bass as well. What the heck. LOL
  2. Look at the seller's reviews.
  3. Thanks for the additional details. Do you know what info they need from JLS? That's weird. I've ordered from them maybe 5 times and it's always been a very good experience. Good luck.
  4. Thanks all. To me I was thinking of a soft swimbait. My go to this year is a swim jig with a 4" soft plastic boot tailed swimbait. As far as looks and feel, I can't think of a better combo.
  5. It's sorta easy to look at lures and figure out which one LOOKS the most natural. But what about FEEL? When a bass is mostly using their lateral line, what lure do you think FEELS the most natural to them?
  6. Sorry to hear that buddy.
  7. Hell, I don't even know what the difference is. I did a quick search and my go-to jig is silicone. I guess that's my answer.
  8. Assuming one could understand and run all of the electronics, 100% you could catch more fish. Pros make their living off of catching fish. If a tournament allows it, they are using it.
  9. Why would UPS reach out to JLS? JLS did their job. Now UPS needs to do theirs. I think you are barking up the wrong tree.
  10. Only thing I can think of would be matching the hatch. Smallmouth guys might like a perch color while a largemouth guy might like more of a bluegill color. Just figure out the forage in your waters.
  11. Oh boy, what a bummer. An experience you'll never forget though. Get her next time.
  12. Assuming you are fishing the Megabass Visions, do you swap out the hooks? They seem very sticky to me right out of the package but it seems like some don't like them. Thanks!
  13. That girl is P H A T fat. I have a feeling her milkshake brings all the boys to the yard.
  14. The main lakes I fish don't have shad so bluegills are the main forage. I'll keep throwing my 4" soft swimbaits I guess. I've got some bigger hard swimbaits I just purchased as well that I'm going to start tossing. Which brings up something that confuses me. Many of the youtube guys are saying they like to throw smaller lures now to imitate the years shad spawn. But then you have other guys that say oh it's a great time to throw large swimbaits.
  15. The more you practice the "luckier" you get.
  16. I'm sure it just depends. I watched a Josh Jones interview yesterday and he basically said he couldn't catch those big fish without the technology. He wasn't kidding, he was dead serious.
  17. I haven't hunted in probably 10 years. Have a bad shoulder and need surgery which I've put off. I need to either start back up or sell all of my stuff. I'm sure I have way more invested in hunting than I do fishing. My problem is when I do something it's always 110%. At least for me, I feel like it would be hard to fish and hunt in say November. With that being said, sitting 20 foot up in a tree stand is one of the most enjoyable things I've ever done.
  18. Just googled this and apparently someone admitted that the weight was phony.
  19. LSU colors in Meeechigan? Say it ain't so!
  20. Soooooo who else is sitting here making pretend casts into the air checking out their form?
  21. I might buy one of these larger jitterbugs and give it a try. Not doing the wood route as that seems like too much money and work. But the plastic version and change the hooks and line tie. I'm not catching DD bass like some of those guys so I don't think a 6 pounder up here will be tearing out hooks, etc. Might buy some 3/4 - 1 oz spinnerbaits as well. I want to start targeting big bass at night. Watched a video last night and a guy said he fishes deep rather than topwater for big night bass.
  22. Watched one of those vids live a couple months ago or so. Bought a rod the next week. I was sold on Gary after the first minute.
