  1. But TW includes St. Croix, Shimano etc. too. Megabass too I believe.
  2. I just tried it. Didn't work. Shimano didn't work either. Tried a few more Daiwa rods and reels and those work.
  3. I put a Daiwa reel in my cart, added the promo code, and it took the 20% off.
  4. Here's the 3" Zako on the Mini Max. It's quite small. I haven't tried it yet but I feel like I may need to trim the skirt some.
  5. Which is a shame because the previous Concept C is an amazing reel. I've had one for about 5 years now and it's just great.
  6. Geeze, them too??
  7. TW has, BY FAR, the best return policy/procedure in the business.
  8. I have that exact reel. Have had it for about 4 years now. I don't use it is much anymore just because I've phased it out of my lineup, not because it's a bad reel, but more so because I'm always trying new stuff/upgrading/etc. It's a very solid reel, and at that price it's a no-brainer IMO.
  9. Same here. Even frog fishing. People says wait a few seconds before setting the hook. Not me. They blow up, I reel up any slack that may be in the line (maybe 1/2 handle turn) and let em have it. My hookup ratio is quite good.
  10. I mostly fish my drop shots on the 7'1 med-light Tatula. it's even labeled "drop shot" on the rod. Awesome rod for $150, and even better when you get it on sale. I have it paired with a 3000 (non-deep spool version) Tatula LT.
  11. Swim Jigs have actually produced the best for me lately.
  12. I should probably give these a try, since they are based out of WI and all. Hand-tied, Gammy hook, good price. Not sure I'm loving the angle of the weed guard tho.
  13. True. I hear of guys in TX fishing til noon and then getting off the lake because it'll get that hot. Still, I'd rather fish all year round. Lol.
  14. Sad is an understatement. I don't hunt or ice fish, so it's usually a looong winter for me. There's really nothing I enjoy more than fishing. I'll still get out a handful of times, but I know winter is coming. I can't imagine living somewhere where I can fish year-round. I envy the hell out of you guys.
  15. Like roadwarrior said, most braid floats (I think a few companies have come out with sinking braid). But that doesn't mean you can't use it for bottom contact baits. Tons of people do. If you're fishing around rocks tho you may wanna add a fluoro or mono leader.
  16. There's always that one guy...and it's usually him.
  17. Thanks Mike. How the heck have I overlooked those?
  18. Love the original Fogy, which is also a football head. You plan on bringing any out that doesn't have a football head?
  19. Bass lives matter. I have so much respect for these fish that bring me so much joy and excitement. Once I land one, I try to do everything in my power to handle it properly and get it back into the water as soon as possible. I will, however, take a quick pic here and there. What others do is their business. Though naturally it bothers me some if I see someone mishandling these fish. What bothers me the most is these guys who boat-flip these bigger bass and just let them slam into their consoles or onto the deck of the boat. I have no issues with boat-flipping, but have some control at least.
  20. 16# Sniper for me. If I really wanna rip it thru grass I'll throw them on a braid setup.
