Fishermen caught cheating at Ohio tournament sentenced to 10 days
Same here. They probably deserve a good butt whooping. Unreal.

when you rig a softbait with eyes to a jig head with eyes, do you trim off eyes?
In a survey of 100 bass, 91% said that the tastiest part of a baitfish are it's eyes. Therefore, I say the more the merrier.

What’s your top 5 Fall baits
I literally have 70+ packs of them. Probably my favorite plastic.

What's the one rod you would buy again without question if you broke it?
I should probably say one of my Expride's, or Kistler's, or Megabass. But the truth is the 2 rods that I have that I'm head over heels for is my Dobyns Sierra 734 (micro guides) and Powell Naked 734. The Powell Naked is a newer rod. You can only get a few models right now, but I talked to a Powell rep the other day and he said more models will be coming in the next few months and more readily available on other sites. I've been using mine (7'3 H/F) for swim jigs on straight braid. The rod is super light and quite sensitive. Everything about it just feels right. I'll be getting more models for sure. And everyone knows about the 734 Sierra by now. Another rod that just feels right and is fun to fish.

Ah, thanks. So it's not like you can go there and handle rods?

Where are they moving to? Closer or farther from the WI border? Do they have everything that you can get on their site in-store/back room?

The most realistic glide bait?
What is a realistic glide, anyways? I don't see any fish swimming like that in the water.

To clarify, you mean just the pencil, not popper, right?

Silver lining- you can use the bait right away instead of waiting for who knows how long?

How would you match this hatch?

Last month I shipped a rod from WI to CA for $32 through the post office.- Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
He can correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like the 6th Sense Provoke in Live Shiner.- Best Frog Rod/Reel Combo
If you wanna get all matchy matchy...- The Death Of The Small Tackle Shop
I have a smaller ma and pa tackle shop near me that has an amazing selection of baits. Even better than the closest BPS/Cabela's IMO. The only issue is they over-charge so much that It's hard for me to justify shopping there as much as I'd like to. I'm ok paying a little more to help a local shop. But when you're charging $8 for a pack of Rage Bugs (that retail for $6) when I can get them on sale for $5 online...it's tough.- Your crankbaits that are guaranteed to catch a bass?
Why? He's asking people which crankbaits they personally have had the most success with when fishing for bass. Not "what crankbaits look the prettiest to you".- Swim Bait Rod Less Than 7"4'?
How is this rod for soft swimbaits where you have to drive an Owner Beast Hook home? I've heard this is a good rod for hard baits/trebles.- Dirty Water Dropshot
In water with barely any visibility, I like the NetBait Stumpy Crush Worm. It's 3.5", but it has some bulk to it, giving it a larger profile. They have a new version that just came out that is infused with BaitFuel.- Owner Haymaker
I'm guessing you can't Tex-pose these?- Ever get tired of catching them...
Same here. Don't get me wrong, I'd be 100% fine, let's say, catching them skipping docks all day long. But I like catching them on different techniques. I definitely have a habit of leaving fish to catch fish. And sometimes I kick myself for it. Haha.- Help me select a jig/worm rod
I don't have that exact Tharp model (I have the Hammer) but I'm extremely impressed with it. I'm amazed they list it at the price they do. And yea, you can always get 15% off at Omnia. Codes just change every month.- Sometimes, when you wanna catch a BIG Bass
I Texas Rig. I get better hookups using an EWG hook as opposed to an offset round bend. The depth and cover I'm fishing determines the weigh size or if I'm gonna peg it. Nothing slides through grass better.- The latest sale thread
TW Labor Day sale ended last night. I forgot to place an order. I just looked at my cart and the 15% is still applied (as of last night it was gone).- Sometimes, when you wanna catch a BIG Bass
Definitely my favorite worm to swim. I go through way too many packs/year to count. And when the head of the worm ends up tearing, you can just cut that portion off and start over with a little shorter version of the worm.- Swinging swim jig trailers
Eco Pro Tungsten Swing Shad is similar to the Keitech's. But they're more durable and cheaper. Not as many colors tho. $3.50 for a 5-pack compared to $6 for a 6-pack of Keitech. Not sure why more people don't talk about them.- Houdini largo shad color
A few of them do seem to have more white than usual. There's usually white, but not that much. They do make great trailers tho. As is, it'll have a tighter thump, but if you tear off that little flange it'll thump a little more. This is what mine usually look like. (I sometimes dip the tail in JJ's) - St Croix Warranty
