  1. Mostly what I use here in Nebraska. Spinning: 8lb Crankbaits: 12lb Variety of baits: 12-15lb Froggin: 50lb braid
  2. That is a tough price for good combo. If you can save up another $25-40 it will give you a larger selection/choices. Keep an eye out for sales/discounts. Reels: Daiwa Tatula CT, Lew's Speed Spool LFS Rods: Daiwa Aird X, Powell Diesel, Lamiglas XP Bass, Falcon Bu Coo, Dobyns Maverick/Fury
  3. I purchased a couple swim jigs last season because I never tried fishing them, it ended up being one of my most productive lures. It is a good lure you can cover water with or you can slow it down. It is pretty weed less also and you can use different trailers on it.
  4. I've been really happy with my Powell Diesel Crankbait rods. Really good rod under $100.00
  5. You will be fairly limited on choices with the shorter length. These would be my rod suggestions for around that $100 point: Okuma EVX Falcon BuCoo
  6. Main difference is the SV Spool/Button and the additional price.
  7. Box specifications say: Fluoro/Nylon: 14lb/95 yards, 16lb/80 yards PE/Braid: 30lb/95 yards, 40lb/70 yards 12Lb-100m(109.36 yards), 14lb-85m(92.9571 yards)
  8. Received 2 new Daiwa Tatula TW 80 reels from Digitaka in Japan. Received reels 3 days from Japan, super fast shipping.
  9. I have 2 new Xtreme Angler rods too, I picked up the 7'1 Med Hvy & 7'3 Hvy.
  10. I'll throw it once they start to bite it. Daiwa Tatula CT100HS CS(import model)7:3:1 FX Xtreme Custom 7'3 HF 50lb braid Booyah, Swamp Donkey,6th Sense, Spro, Zman
  11. I would recommend a Toyota or Honda.
  12. I've purchased a couple rods online from TW and didn't like the rod once I had it in hand. They have simple/easy return option.
  13. 60% of the time, it works every time.
  14. I even put the U-40 on the foam when I apply it, won't damage the foam.
  15. Send it to Daiwa if it is under 1 year warranty. If it is missing parts they may charge you for those. I had a Daiwa Tatula that was new and didn't sound right about a month after I purchased it, I simply completed the Service Form on their website and shipped it to their repair center along with your receipt of purchase. They took care of the repairs at no cost beside the cost of shipping to them, which will maybe cost you $9-12 USPS Priority Mail.
  16. St Croix Victory 7'1 Med/Fast w/ Daiwa Fuego 2500 LT Spinning
  17. I've only owned/used cork rods, I also like the look and feel of cork.
  18. Probably real similar to the Tatula TW 80 as the Asian market. Don't be surprised if I buy a couple new reels from Digitaka in a couple weeks.
  19. I love fishing both baits, but last year the swim jig was my most productive lure. Green Pumpkin with Zoom Fat Albert (Green Pumpkin Purple)
  20. I purchased mine on Ebay, they were only like $5 for 72 of them. I even re-use mine by threading a needle back onto the wire. So I probably won't ever have to buy any of them again. ?
  21. You are gonna have so many choices/options for this fishing situation. I would focus more on the lakes/vegetation/structure around the area you're going to be fishing to determine you're rod needs. Rod length could be anywhere from 6'10-7'6. I normally use a 7'3 Med/Heavy Fast or Heavy Fast Action with 7:3:1 gear ratio.
