Live target bait ball
I had two of them. Never got a bite from them. Had multiple times I would fish an area with the baitball with no bites. Would go back through the area with an a rig or spinnerbait and catch multiple fish. Instead of attracting fish it repels them. Those two baitballs now reside in my tackle hall of shame, along with about every other live target bait I have purchased.

trolling motor is where I would spend the money. I prefer minn kota, so I would buy an Ultrex.

1911
I have owned a few 1911's. They are my favorite pistol for fun shooting. Rock islands are hard to beat for the price. Out of all of them, my current springfield range officer elite operator, in 45 acp, is my favorite. Super accurate and fits my hands, near perfectly. It will also fire any ammo I feed it. Kimber's just did not fit me. Never enjoyed shooting them. Plus the two I owned were picky about ammo. Colts are nice, but only have a right handed safety. As a lefty that does not work.

Blizzard Warning!
Sounds like Kansas city. 4 inches of snow means the stores are out of milk and bread.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
They are advertised as the first floating worm, but in all honesty they very seldom actually float. Some of them will suspend slightly. It depends on how much salt they contain. Most will slowly sink. I have fished trick worms, since they were introduced. They are a great worm , but if I am looking for a true floater they are not my first choice.

Daiwa Tatula 100 versus Daiwa Tatula Elite?
I have 4 tatula sv's and 4 of the newer model tatula 100's. I use them for different purposes. The SV reel is great for pitching, skipping, and casting weightless flukes and senkos. It is a great reel for short to mid range applications. When using crankbaits, jerkbaits, or anything I want to cast a long way, the 100 wins everytime. The newer version of the tatula 100, is an amazing reel for the price. Shop around for sales. I have never paid over $115.00 for one.

BPS buys SW.
Not all Cabelas are that way. In the Kansas city metro there are 2 bass pro shops and one Cabelas. They all usually have a decent stock of fishing gear. The Cabelas is only 5 minutes from my house. I spend more time there than the 2 bass pro's. One thing I have noticed is Cabelas has a lot more hunting gear. Bass pro has a little more fishing gear.

Abraz X Flouro Alternatives?
Not sure where you got the info, but abraz x and Tatsu are pure fluorocarbon. Cheaper lines like yozuri hybrid and kast king fluorokote are fluorocarbon coated mono, or copoly.

Interference on Garmin 93sv chirp
Does the Garmin have a filter setting. My hummingbirds have an adjustable noise filter setting. Makes a lot of difference with some trolling motors.

Otters affect on Bass .
I am sure they can impact the population on small waters. around here I don't see many on lakes. they seem to hang out in the rivers. Now bald eagles are a different story. There are several around the small lakes here. I have seen them fly off with large bass more than once.

I have never heard of that monster, but this Meskwaki monster has broke a few pale faces. https://www.meskwaki.com/

Winter Topic: Have You Fished In A Lake That Contains A Monster/Creature?
Growing up in eastern Iowa we had this same urban legend. We heard stories of giant man eating catfish in the spillways of the reservoirs and below the Mississippi locks and dams. If it were true, you would think one would eventually float up on shore when they die.

Best line for Ned Rigs
I cut the tag ends flush with the knot. My setup is usually 15 pound power pro. With 6 or 8 pound fluoro, or mono leader. I have never used heavier fluoro or mono as a leader. Generally if I need heavier line I switch to straight fluoro or braid, depending on the application. I can see how the knot may knot stay tight with a heavier, stiffer leader.

Best line for Ned Rigs
that is strange. I have never had an alberto unravel. I just go 7 wraps down then 7 wraps back and tighten. then clip the ends. if one failed it was usually because I did not lube the knot and it burned the fluoro or mono. it may depend on how slick the braid is. I use standard 4 carrier power pro.

Jerkbait/popper rod...
I recently purchased an Okuma evx medium/fast. 6ft 8in jerkbait/ topwater rod from tackle warehouse. It cost around $100.00. After owning several jerkbait rods, this one has become my favorite. It is very light and has just the right tip action for jerkbait fishing.

Techniques Where FC Main Line Is A Must ?
true. slack line sensitivity is the only reason I use fluorocarbon. Here in eastern Kansas most water is stained, so line visibility is a not a major concern. on leaders for braid I usually use mono or copoly.

Trout
East Kansas stocked trout are not the sharpest crayons in the box. they will hit literally anything that moves. they are also a pain to hold onto, while you are trying to unhook them.

Rapid Changes in Water Temp?
i would be throwing a suspending jerkbait. If nothing else works a ned rig will usually get a few bites. fish can still be fairly active at 50 degrees. You just need to fish a little slower. I was out a couple days ago. the water temp was 44. caught a couple bass on a jerkbait. one on a spinnerbait. 1/2 dozen on a ned rig.

12v to 24v converter
If if was a good idea more people would do it. I don't see any benefit to doing this. For starters you would lose power in the conversion. Extra thrust would be the only possible benefit, but it would not last long. If you figure an average 70lb motor, at 24 volts draws a little over 40 amps To get that 40 amps at 24 volts, the12 volt battery would have to put out over 80 amps. Volts X amps = watts (power) 24 X 40 = 960 watts 960 ÷ 12 = 80 amps Even at slow speeds the 24 volt motor would take more power, because of what is lost in the conversion. Bad idea. Too many YouTube heroes out there.

Best Reel for 125$
My vote is for the new model tatula 100. Very nice reel. I own 3. Most retailers sell them for around $150.00 Did not pay over $120.00 for any of mine. If you search around there are deals out there. There are a couple dealers on ebay that usually has them at a discount price.
