  1. If you really can't find one, get yourself a GL2 or a Kistler Magnesium (purdy)
  2. Okay, well i think the best suggestion yet would be the Avid. I see you go to a Dick's near you, sometimes they will put them on sale for $100-110 bucks
  3. it sounds like you do because people gave good suggestions and turned them down because they weren't pretty. The Falcon Weightless Plastics rod should be what you want because it is made specifically for what you are looking for except the purdy factor.
  4. is there a web site where i can find an estimate of what it is worth now? the one I have is oldddddddddd
  5. or check out this rod. http://www.***.com/descpageRDCDAIWA-DSCXC.html sexiest rod on the market....and affordable.
  6. Medium Action work the best but you can get away w/ almost any medium power rod fast action that has an overly soft tip. If you want a crankbait specific rod, I would recommend a medium action rod that is fairly long.
  7. http://cgi.ebay.com/Paw-Paw-Baby-Jointed-Pikie-1950s-Wood-Fishing-Lure_W0QQitemZ300170679896QQihZ020QQcategoryZ794QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I got one of these from a friend today but it is one of the larger sizes that is 5 inches. I was wondering if i should hold on to it, sell it on ebay, or fish it?
  8. Braid floats. So I would probably try a small diameter braid like 30/8. Power Pro is the way to go!
  9. I like tungsten for my weights rangings from 1/8 to 1/2 Before and after that range I don't feel that it matters that much unless you are using it for heavy flipping that the weight is too large for it too just look "right".
  10. I'm thinking about buying the casting rod and ill let you know how I like it, though it doesn't look like a rod I would want to put up against a redfish. Would you be using braid with this rod?
  11. Right now I have had great luck throwing a brown rubber Skinny Bear Football Head w/ a Zoom Double Tail trailer in Watermelon/Red Flake
  12. they are probably one of the more common hooks when flipping and pitching plastics.
  13. Yep, speed clips for me.
  14. I think you are just looking for a purdy rod. If you want a rod for looks go get one from Reel Mech.

  16. 25 odd pounds. Caught her on a rod I layed down that had oatmeal on it. Reeled her in and released it. What is the biggest carp yall have ever caught?
  17. I like 12lb elite just because it has a little more stretch
  18. I have already found that out. I bought some 15lb off of many recommendations and i was disappointed in the memory. It was all coiled up.
  19. I hear most people talk about cranking and they refer to fluorocarbon. The point of this is not to find a lb. test but just what brand of line are you using from cranking. I am looking for a good line to use strictly for cranking, that will stand up to some wood, rock, and weeds.
  20. I have been looking around on various websites looking for either 1/4 or 3/16oz craw colored rattletrap. I cant seem to find any online and i need a few for a local lake with smaller largemouth and spots that can eat a 1/2 trap. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
  21. Yeah sometimes when my friends will catch a gar, he will snap the thing in two and throw it back in the water.
  22. Dont know what kind of stuff you fish but i would keep the Sufix on and then when its time to respool buy on giant spool of Sufix Elite 12lb and youll be set for a very long time. Elite is very soft and managable and doesnt have any memory issues.
