After you get a couple of layers of line on, drop your rod tip toward the spool. If your line starts twisting up...you're putting it on backwards ... As Ever, skillet

"the bead in this bag"? re: stanley ribbit frogs
MAN, am I glad you posted this! I thought the folks at Stanley just took an instant dislike to me or something ;D. I got a bag of them late last year that didn't have a bead. Didn't give the bait a real chance last year, need to this year... As Ever, skillet

Bought a package of Ribbits late last Summer and haven't given them the chance I should have. Maybe your post will help me get off my butt with them ... As Ever, skillet

What ever happened to EVA foam grips??
The only thing I can figure is "the powers that be" decided we needed to change ;D. Don't know if I think they are that much more comfortable, seem durable so far. Actually, still have a Lew's Speed Stick with the foam handle... As Ever, skillet BTW you weren't kidding Red !!!

When did u catch ur personal best largemouth
Started fishing about 5am trying for topwater bite and just couldn't put it together. Wasn't doing much better with anything until about 9am and caught 7lb 15oz ;D!!! Little later caught 4lb using same bait and rig. T-rigged Brush Hog (grn. pumkin) 1/8oz weight. The planets must have been in alignment for me that morning... As Ever, skillet

Which rod should I buy
Went to BPS yesterday looking for Crucial 6'6" M EF tip. They didn't have that in Crucial but did have it in Compre. If I didn't have my heart set on Crucial, would have bought it! Took my reel to be sure of how it felt. Would definitely get Compre if not willing to wait for Crucial ... As Ever, skillet
