Podcasts
I listen to Luke Dunkin's "Low Budget Live" every Monday, Dave Mercer's "Mercer" and "Zaldangerous" depending on their guests. Same with Dale, Jr's podcast.

Your License(s) Costs
When I was living in TN, my fishing license with a trout stamp was around $55.00. Now that I live in Arkansas, my fishing license is $10.50. My trout license is another $10.00. Won't matter in about a year and a half. I'll be 65 so I'll buy a senior lifetime license. I purchased a lifetime license for each of my grandkids when they were born. I think that they were around $200.00 for each of them. Assuming that they fish, they'll never have to worry about a fishing license. Edit, I see that they have gone up to $320.00 now!

Reflections
I don't want to stray to far from the topic other than to say I was around 11/12 at the time and scared to death. My father chuckled a little and explained what was going on. Good times! Go SEC!

Reflections
Mine are pretty basic. When I was a kid, we lived in Escanaba, MI for three years with my father's job. I caught my first smalle, but what I really remember is seeing the northern lights, absolutely breathtaking. While wading for trout in middle TN Caney Fork river, I saw the only bald eagle I've ever seen in the wild. Flew directly overhead, fairly low. So majestic. Every time I visit the Smokey Mountains.

Obnoxious sleepers...
Just like @ScottW, my wife was a crazy loud snorer and was diagnosed with sleep apnea over a year ago. Now she sleeps so much better and quieter. She feels so much better too.

Merry Christmas....!!!
Personally, I think that our differences in faith (and politics) may have made Chuck and I even closer. Fishing is what brought us together back in "the day". He used to fish the old EverStart Series. It's crazy how close two people can get traveling, camping, practice fishing, etc. Both retired now but we talk almost every day. We end each phone call/ text/ letter with I love you.

Merry Christmas....!!!
Now that Christmas '22 has come and gone, I'll explain my response. Hopefully Glenn won't send me packing. I am a 100% believer in my Lord and Savior and we celebrate the meaning of Christmas. All of that said, I realize that other's aren't believer's, that is completely their choice. My closest friend in the world is an agnostic, no big deal to me. I don't push my beliefs off on anyone and don't want theirs pushed on me. I am very much a "live and let live" person. Crazy thing with my friend, we actually call each other brothers, is that we talk about religion, politics and anything else that you're not "supposed to talk about". He respects my opinion, I respect his and all of your opinions. Isn't that how it is supposed to work?

Bass pro shops rod shipping....
I've ordered three BPS Crankin' Sticks since October 2022. They all came in heavy duty cardboard rod tubes, approximately 1/4" thick. All arrived in excellent condition. Side note, I always save the tubes for spare rod storage, etc. Way back in the late 90's, I had a BPS rod arrive broken in a busted up light cardboard box. No problem at all, BPS customer service handled it at no cost to me.

Winter is coming...
I forgot to add scale modeling to my earlier reply! I've got around 25 older NASCAR and local type late model stock cars to build. I'll probably get around to building two, maybe three before early spring.

Crankbait Paint?
I'm not artist, but have used Testor's model car spray paint on the past with good results. Once painted, I used either a clear gloss coat, or a clear dull coat depending on the desired result. I haven't fooled around with painting lures in years.

The drawbacks of a canoe.
For me, there is room for both. I love canoe's and canoe fishing. You can definitely get one in places that you can't get a boat. I've owned two and enjoyed them. I would like to find a used Sportspal in my area, but they are few and far between. It would be a nice addition to my boat.

Dealer had better fix this!
I raced stock cars for years, street stocks to limited late models. Like you and @Koz, I've always liked rally racing and would have loved to give it a go.

The drawbacks of a canoe.
The Meyer's Sportspal is supposed to be an extremely stable canoe.

Has your credit card been hacked??
Not from a JDM. Mine was hacked after purchasing from TW or Academy. I ordered stuff from both places on the same day prior to the hack. Thankfully my C/U caught it and locked down my card before any damages.

A new line of bass boats?
I know that ikon purchased the Hydra-Sport name and it's not the same company. It's kind of funny, Hydra-Sport boats will possibly be going from a low to mid priced bass boat from the OMC days, to a top of the line high priced bass boat. Like I mentioned in my original post yesterday morning, it's a nice looking, sleek rig judging by Wheeler's video and the overhead still shot on Bass Blaster.

Struggling: Keep boat or trade for Kayak
I tried the very thing that you're thinking about a few years ago. Sold my boat a purchased three kayaks. Kayak fishing wasn't for me. Gave my son the first two, sold mine and the trailer. Bought another boat and love it.
