  11. I agree, the 2500FI is the one for bass, but Chris probably wants something he can use for other species. We use the 4000 for striper fishing. He probably should have both! 8-)
  12. The fishing was poor, only six bass, but the weather was nice. I caught -0- on the spinnerbait; 3 on a jig and 3 on a narrow wobble crankbait (Lucky Craft Flat CB). No takers on a variety of other presentations.
  13. Welcome aboard! Pickwick Lake is less than two hours away. Horseshoe (AR) is a close option; Tipton County Lake (MS) is another. Just south of Memphis, in northern MS, are the best crappie lakes in the world: Arkabutla, Sardis, Flower, Enid and Grenada. All lakes are great bass producers, too! The smallmouth in my avatar were caught on the Tennessee River below Pickwick Dam, technically, Kentucky Lake. Maybe we could get together some weekend and do some fishing. 8-)
  14. Step up and buy the Shimano Stradic 4000FI. You will never look back. http://fish.shimano.com/publish/content/global_fish/en/us/index/products/reels/spinning/Stradic_FI.html 8-)

  19. Welcome aboard! Try to find some deeper stucture and attack it with soft plastics and jigs. 8-)
  20. Welcome aboard! Spend some time in the BassResource.com Library: "Fishing Articles" and "Tacklebox" at the top of the page. 8-)
  21. Well, just type it in and search the net...The answer is water temperatures below 45 degrees result in die-offs: http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/huntwild/wild/species/threadfinshad/ 8-)
  22. Hey Raul! I just picked a GLX BCR852 to match-up with the Scorpion 1000MG. Ya think that dog will hunt? -Kent
