  1. Geez...I don't know, but half out membership faces "hard water". If you don't get some good general advice, I'll move your post to "Southeast". 8-)
  2. Well, sorry to say this, but we are at the beginning of a recession, not approaching the end. No one knows how long or how deep this will be, but batten down the hatches, there are more rough seas ahead.
  3. That's possible, but it might much lower: http://www.foxbusiness.com/story/markets/citigroup-automakers-lead-futures-lower/
  4. Would you be interested in selling a dozen! 8-)
  5. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  6. Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeautiful! I really like 'em dark. -Kent ;D
  7. Almost, but you don't put the tag through the lower loop (next to the eye). The Sixteen-Twenty is also known as a Duncan Knot and as the Pitzen Knot. I use it for bigger lures and for heavier lines. I don't know exactly how it ranks in strength, but I have never had an issue of any kind. When tightened down, this knot looks and acts like a noose: the knot tightens as the line is pulled. 8-)
  8. Try this one, too: http://206.210.94.83/assets/recommended_knots/pdf/fhf_knot_sixteen_twenty.pdf 8-)
  9. This was addressed with you privately, but since you have decided to pursue this publicly, let me be clear: This is a privately owned forum with guidelines and rules. We are "Family Friendly", broadly defined. We expect all members to be courteous to others. Our welcome is open to everyone, but anyone who finds the restrictions onerous probably doesn't belong here. We charge the same price for leaving as we do to join. Membership on this forum is not a right, but a privilege. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
  10. Good to hear from you Jim! Browse through the "Tournament or Outing" section. I posted something about a brown fish we "saw" last weekend. I think you will enjoy the story. 8-)
  11. Currently: DJIA -346 at 8489 S&P -39 at 872 Oil $56.55
  12. Sounds to me like you can have your cake an eat it, too! If you are ready for college, this suggestion sounds great. However, service first will add maturity and responsibility that cannot be matched in the private sector. Good luck! Your future looks bright. 8-)
  13. Good luck! I canceled my trip for tomorrow.
  14. Welcome aboard! They make excellent tomato stakes. Just kidding. Give it away. 8-)

  16. Well, yesterday's stock rally was the result of both the DJIA and the S&P 500 breaking through October's 52 week (intraday) lows, the lowest prices of the year! That seems like a pretty weak excuse for a 900 point rebound. It's confusing, but I think stocks will continue to trend lower. The DJIA is down 143 at the opening.
  17. Well, as I have pointed out several times on this thread, oil is just another commodity and the commodity markets are very volatile. Although we have been trading well below the projected range ($60-$80), the trend still indicates lower prices in the comming months. That said, there is some correlation between the equity markets and oil futures. With the stock market jumping 554 points yesterday (+900 in the last two hours of trading), oil rose about $2.61 from yesterday's low and is currently trading at $57.28.

  19. Well, I have been an NFL fan for a few decades and think their business model is the best in all of professional sports (revenue sharing, team salary caps, etc.). However, it's not all "free enterprise". We the taxpayer, fans or not, pay a healthy price to build stadiums and infrastructure for these facilities. I'm not complaining, at least in this thread, about the cost of tickets, seat fees or $6 beers. This is about the NFL Network restricting access to the public. I think this stinks! >
