  1. I suspect the new Curados will be the "hot reel" when they become available in the next few weeks. The introduction of the Revo line-up turned a lot of heads and has forced the other players to really scramble to replace some models. The current Curado is a fine reel, but bigger and heavier than the comparable Abu Garcia Revo STX. I recently fished the Citica which is a great bargin at something less than $100. If that's a better pricing point for you, I highly recommend this Shimano baitcaster to you: http://www.deloscustomtackleshack.com/reels/shimanocitaca.html 8-)
  2. You don't need to sugar coat it and I make no apology: $15 reels are pure crap and a total waste of money. If you have a limited amount of funds, fish what you have or what's given to you. If you want some advice on what to buy, just ask. We have many members at every pricing point. Buying "crap" at a low price on e-bay is not a "value". 8-)
  3. Hmm... Marty, It seems like you have been around here long enough to know better. :
  4. Yep, I moved his one, but you are too computer savy... From now on, all of your posts in the wrong section will be deleted. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator 8-)
  5. Nah... Try to figure it out. Mike's not asking for a Harvard degree... Just a basic high school education. It seems to me that trying to communicate requires a certain degree of form. We have beeen workin' on this project for abour 6,000 years! 8-)
  6. Talk about "bug eyed" http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,393783,00.html :
  7. ** MODERATOR NOTE ** Bass Tard: All of your duplicate posts have been deleted. DO NOT post another. As long as this thread remains civil and members continue to play, we will let it run. If you find it boring, move on to something else. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
  8. If the line is kept inside, I'm not sure it would ever get old. Fluorocarbon is an inert crystal which lasts indefinitely. The line is a copolymer blend with a nylon component. So, I don't know exactly what the answer is, but I would guess a decade or more. 8-)
  9. WOW! 6-15 is an outstanding brown fish. 8-)
  10. This thread is losing some of the fun factor.
  11. ** Let's all remember to play nice ** 8-)
  12. Ande monofilament lays claim to more World Records than all other lines combined. Ande Premium #6 is .010" diameter, the same as Yo-Zuri Hybrid and Hybrid Ultra Soft #6. http://www.andemonofilament.com/specifications.htm 8-)
  13. Nope. The point I am making is that one rod can be used for all of your fishing. After that, two more rods could be added to improve technique specific needs. After that it's just "want" not "need". I enjoy collecting fishing equipment and have tried to accumulate "exactly" the right gear for specific techniques. This makes the "fishing" part more fun for me for sure and may improve "catching" a little bit, too! Still, one rod would work just fine. 8-)
  14. This is my suggestion: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1196114229 8-)
  15. Striper are my main target in the summer. I use live bait (gizzard shad, threadfin shad and skipjack). My best artificials have been topwater (Spooks) when they're busting, big jerkbaits (LC Pointer 128) the rest of the time. 8-)
  16. Cabela's has 1 lb spools of #6 on sale: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0046975119281a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCH_BC&returnPage=cave_search1.jsp&QueryText=hybrid+ultra+soft&N=61&Ntk=all&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Nty=1&Ntt=hybrid+ultra+soft&noImage=0 8-)

  19. WHOA! Okay guys, no editing or deletions and I'm real sorry if you didn't get the "last word", but we're WAY off topic (New Colors)... Good night, Irene.
  20. Outstanding lures! Although I have several, I only fish the chrome blue/orange belly. It's killer! http://www.xcaliburtackle.com/photo_pop.asp?images/XCalibur_Baits_Rattle_Chrome_Blue_Full.jpg 8-)
  21. Muddy, You're exempt! :
  22. A lot of people won't take the time to read your post: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1217388814 :

  24. Yeah, but a lot of guys were saying the same thing last year: Skeet Reese AOY 2007: http://www.basszone.com/2007eliteseries/aoy.htm 8-)
  25. Man, that's a GREAT deal. I have an AVS70MM which I really like, but I haven't recommended the Fenwicks since they raised the MSRP to $210. 8-)
