  1. DUDE! That's a great, "terrible" picture...I'll bet it was every bit as bad as it looks. :'(
  2. This is the right section. Although we don't usually allow solicitation for another fishing website, I think we'll make an exception for this one. 8-)
  3. 3 1/2" tubes (Mizmo, Kent's Classic); GYCB 5" Single Tail Grubs (clear with silver flakes and/or smoke); Rapala X-Rap, Husky Jerk or LC Pointer jerkbaits; Ledgebuster 3/4 oz Single Willow Blade Spinnerbait; Zara Spook and/or LC Sammy. 8-)
  4. Welcome aboard! I think you can probably do well on just about anything this time of year. I'm fishing the Cavitron Buzzbait in low light and jigs the rest of the time. I might do better with some soft plastics, but I'm afraid I might catch too many! :
  5. +1 Geez... 8-)
  6. Or...weigh free weights in a plastic grocery bag. 8-)

If you are using a "chunk" you can rig it through the flat sides, the trailing appendages provide the action. With a creature or crawdad trailer, a traditional jig should be threaded through the bait at botton with the hook through the bait near or at the bend of the hook. With a stand up jig, hook the first 1/4" or so as you would with a worm, then punch through the bait so that it stands. You do not thread the bait. This is a Shak-E2 that demonstrates what I am trying to describe: http://www.deloscustomtackleshack.com/jigs/evolutionshakeyhead.htm 8-)
  8. That's a beauty. Congratulations! 8-)
  9. Hmm... I don't ever use a trailer hook. Nope, never. So far I have not missed a hook-up, but you do need to let the fish load up before setting the hook. That's been the key for me. 8-)
  10. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  11. Spinning tackle: #6 Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft (.010" diameter, 11.9 lb test) Baitcasting gear: #12 Ultra Soft (.013" diameter, 19.5 lb test) Threat these lines with some KVD Line & Lure Conditioner and you will virtually eliminate memory. 8-)
  12. ;D ;D Woo-hoo! ;D ;D Congratulations! Nice fish, great pics. 8-)
  13. Late to the game... It's much more fun when you have the actual weights to compare guesses! 8-)
  14. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  15. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  16. The Memphis store doesn't carry 1/8 or 600 yards and never have! Anyhow, mine is on order and we'll see what happens. 8-)
  17. The "rules" are based on thousands of hours of experience and generations of successful fishermen, from throughout the country. I think that's not just a good place to start, but something to stick with until you have decided you don't need anymore help. 8-)
  18. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  19. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  20. The CTE200GT is 5.0:1 and there is one offered in the Flea Market: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1213359716/4#4 I like this reel, I have two! 8-)
  21. Man, you shouldn't have weighed the first one, it looks a lot bigger than that! :
  22. Here you go: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1141187546 8-)
  23. No, not really... I guess when LBH gets it done... :-[
  24. You need to have it disassembled, cleaned and serviced. 8-)
  25. I agree, the grub imitates a baitfish so I swim them, exclusively. I only fish two colors: smoke or clear with silver flakes. 8-)
