New Shak-E2 Heads have been shipped
Yep, you really need to try the 3/8 oz Cavitron Buzzbait. Pick your own colors, but I'll recommend black on black. 8-)

Rell Problem
Get a "spinning reel", they don't backlash and you can master them in short order. If you can find someone to simply show you the basics, after 10 casts you'll be wondering why you didn't give this a try sooner. 8-)

double duty trout rod
Although I generally prefer 7' rods, I have the AS66MLF for my light rig. It seems "right" for the applications you want, especially if you get the 1000 size reels. I have the Stella 1000FA on mine and it matches nicely. 8-)

What a gimmick!
I'm still curious as to exactly what "advanced nano carrot fiber technology" adds to the structure of this rod blank. Also, what was it before it became "advanced", retarded or merely "challenged"?

I think it's time for me to get a dog.
Well, I suspect Robert can afford to have the dog groomed. They don't jump on furniture, so unless you spend a lot of time rolling on the floor in your suit, I really don't think it's an issue. Hey Russ, I think it's pretty rare for a corgi to bite, but they really don't like guys in brown clothes who the dog thinks might steal his trash! Our dog gets along with two cats, but doesn't allow visitors. Malcolm's #1 enemy is squirrels. 8-)

Deep Crank rod. Again.
This is the rod you need and it's on sale! The SR705R was designed by Skeet Reese, made by Lamiglas. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0037314120919a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCH&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&QueryText=sr705r&N=4887&Ntk=Products&Ntx=mode+matchall&Nty=1&Ntt=sr705r&noImage=0&_requestid=41895 8-)

crossriver reservoir in ny 5-24 08
Not to the same extent, but muddy water will make them a bit pale. However, if they haqve stripes and markings, those are still visible, just not as well highlighted. Some people say the darker fish are from deep water, but I don't buy that. Maybe others will comment. 8-)

We have a Corgi named Malcolm. He is the best pet we have ever owned. http://www.welshcorgi.com/ http://www.rednirt.4t.com/corgi.html 8-)

I Feel Horrible :(
#1 Treble hook lures generally do the least amount of damage to a fish. The bait is never swallowed and the hooks don't penetrate deeply. #2 Always carry a pair of needlenose pliers. Take your time and treble hooks are easily removed. #3 In the event the fish dies or you feel has a high probability of dying, keep it! if you don't want to dress and cook the fish, find someone that will. #4 Perhaps tournament fishermen kill 5% of their catch due to poor handling and livewell containment, but I doubt that anything close to 1% of the fish that are immediately released will die. Still, it will happen and you should realize that that fish must be harvested, not wasted. 8-)

If you could fish with any 2 anglers..Who? And Where?
Yeah... There are a few dozen guys on this Forum thay I would like to fish with, and I have already had the opportunity to fish with a few! I'm not going to list anyone because I would certainly leave too many out, but I would rather fish with you guys than with any pro, seriously. 8-)

Greetings From Maine
Welcome aboard! Is there any truth to the rumor that you guys have some of the best smallmouth fishing in the country? I've heard a few stories about numbers AND size. Care to share any secrets? 8-)

Warning: You Might Get Your Arm Broke!
To stay in that narrow depth range, I would fish them weightless, for sure. The action is similar, but the bait will float down rather than sink quickly. You can definitely keep it out of the gunk most of the time. 8-)

Evolution jigs?
If you haven't tried the Evolution jig, you need to! I have been pounding them with this jig and a Net Bait Baby Paca Craw. Although I haven't always been a big sponsor of attractants, I seem to be getting a little more action with trailers soaked in JJ's Magic or coated with MegaStrike. Both attractants work well at "holding" the bite just a little bit longer. 8-)

crossriver reservoir in ny 5-24 08
Nice post and pics! Looks like a great day of fishing to me. Bars and markings have nothing to do with the sex of the fish. They are not a seperate species, just characteristics of the specific fish. 8-)
