Anyone from Idaho?
We have a couple of ID members, but they haven't been around much lately. Maybe they will pop up when the weather warms a bit. Glad to see you here. BTW, Nice fatty in your avatar! 8-)

Help with an upcoming trip.
When conditions change for the worse, the fish will generally hunker down, bury themselves in cover and hold tight to structure. You may have to hit them on the head to illicit a strike, chances are they are not going to chase a bait. For me, that means a slower, more precise presentation: jigs and soft plastics. 8-)

P-LINE CXX HELP PLEASE??
I fished P-Line for a couple of years. I know lots of guys on here swear by it because it meets certain requirements they find most important. Regardless of one's fondness for the line, no one denies the fact that the line retains a great deal of memory. In cold weather it's 10X worse! Braid has no memory, but there are other issues. The best compromise I have found, especially for spinning tackle, is Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft #6 (.010" diameter, 11.9 lb strength). 8-)

8# or 10# fluoro on spinning reels?
Well, I will be interested to hear how it works out. Fluorocarbon tends to be wirey and doesn't work for me on spinning tackle even in smaller diameters. Start with the 8 lb line to see if it's manageable. 8-)

Going trout fishing need help
Floating and Countdown Rapalas (rainbow trout pattern) are killer! I would also recommend a couple of Panther Martins (1/8 or 1/4 oz, gold spinner, black body with chartreuse spots). 8-)

Tryin to get better at bass fishing
If you can hire the right guide, there is nothing you could do that will move you up the learning curve faster. This is money well spent and while you are learning, you will probably catch a few fish! 8-)

Casting Rapalas
We have several seasoned members who use baitcasters for all applications. Throwing light lures takes a combination of skill and the right equipment. For most of us (me), spinning tackle is the best fit for light lures and a number of presentations. As an example, I fish spinning tackle almost exclusively with soft plastics. I wouldn't consider throwing an original Floating Rapala on baitcasting gear. 8-)

Hot Sauce!
Hot sauce and BBQ sauce are a couple of things that I also want to try "new" whenever the opportunity arises. I sure haven't tried them all, but I have tasted a few. There are several brands I collect and use from time to time, but my all-time favorites are these: Hot sauce: Tobasco sauce (original) BBQ sauce: Gates Barbeque Sauce (original) http://www.gatesbbq.com/ 8-)

Smallmouth Fishing Below Pickwick Dam
The fish I caught were all on a GYCB Single Tail Grub, pearl w/ silver flakes, rigged on a 1/8 oz Gamakatsu round jig head. The rest of the guys were fishing shiners on a split shot rig. 8-)
