  1. Thank you Bud and CJ! I had the privilege of fishing with these men on Saturday and Sunday. Both of these men are true Kentucky Gentlemen. Thank you, gents. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior 8-)
  2. Congratulations! http://unattributed.net/html/whiskey.html 8-)
  3. I'm not convinced color is important, I fish "dark" ( watermelon with black flakes, green pumpkin with black flakes and watermelon with black & red flakes). I never use a weight. I always fish them slow, on the bottom with short sweeps and long pauses. 8-)
  4. I never intentionally fish for spawning bass. However, as many have pointed out, in many lakes (Lake Fork being a prime example), bed fishing appears to have no impact on the bass population or the health of the fishery. 8-)
  5. You should try to make it to Guntersville for the BassResource.com 3rd Annual Outing, March 23-28. 8-)
  6. I fish the Tennessee River below Pickwick Dam. The fish in my avatar were caught there in January, 2005. You can fish below Wheeler or Wilson. The Alabama State Record (10-8) was caught below Wheeler. The next World Record might come from the tailwaters of Wilson, technically Pickwick Lake. http://bassresource.com/fishing/smallmouth_record.html 8-)
  7. Whether it's guns, fishing gear, or something else, a lot of the fun is in just "collecting". 8-)
  8. You can't always tell by looking at a picture, but we have an unwritten rule or courtesy that most members follow: If a poster asks, "What do you think she weighed?", game on! If a poster states a weight, especially if they say they weighed the fish, we let it pass. 8-)
  9. This is a "Sticky" in the upper portion of this page: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1120348381 8-)
  10. Surprised, huh? Nice fish. 8-)

Smallmouth on Kentucky Lake and maybe green bass at Barkley. If the smallmouth bite is working, we will probably stick with that. CJ and Bud are the sticks, I'm just hoping for a straggler! 8-)

I know. Today is slow and silly, but I'm headed to Kentucky Lake in a couple of hours, so I'm jazzed! 8-)

Deoderant was posted 7 minutes before hair, which was in "Tackle" before I moved it! Back on topic...I don't care. :

Is this your response to the deoderant thread? ;D ;D :
  15. Oh! My partner used to fish tournaments. He told me the big fish were chasing them and the guys needed fast boats to get away. 8-)
  16. I have always wondered why tournament fisherman keep running back and forth, up and down the river at 70+ mph. I didn't know fish could swim that fast! Hey! They're over there!
  17. "As needed". I like to have around 80 yards of good line on top of backing. 8-)
  18. Hmm... High 50's Saturday and mid 60's on Sunday. Fishing with Bud and CJ on Kentucky and Barkley lakes. Smallmouth are on fire and in size; largemouth have their feedbag on for pre-spawn. Gentlemen...Start your engines! 8-)
  19. There is no shortage of it, either! 8-)
  20. My favorite "all around" rod for treble hooks is the Avid AC66MF which has a soft tip. The length (6 1/2') makes manuevering jerkbaits and topwater easier. The soft tip acts as a cushion to help prevent the hooks from coming unbuttoned. This is also a rod that works very well for spinnerbaits and buzzbaits! 8-)
  21. It looks to me like you have already done your homework! Now it just boils down to personal preference. Good luck! I'm sure you will enjoy whichever rod you choose. 8-)
  22. 10-20% is expected 8-)
