  1. Leave them in the bag and keep the bags in a Plano type plastic box. 8-)
  2. Blew a 17 - 0 lead and missed a field goal at the end of regulation play. Tampa Bay 20 Saints 17 :
  3. Wow! My AVS70MM is rated 1/8 - 5/8. The discrepancy seems odd to me. 8-)
  4. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! :
  5. The Fenwick Techna AV AVC70MM or AVS70MM would be a better choice for treble hook lures. One ounce lures exceed the rod specifications. 8-)
  6. Here are some suggestions: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1143177139 Happy New Year!
  7. G.Loomis IMX and GLX series are great rods. Below those grades there are a number of alternatives as good or better and generally cheaper.
  8. Choose techniques you like and fish your favorite lures. Everything works in the spring and early summer! I like fishing hard jerkbaits, but if it's just about "catching", soft plastics can't be beat. How 'bout a lipless crankbait over and through emerging vegetation? Doesn't everyone like the topwater strike? This class of lures may work just fine in other seasons when the conditions are right, but springtime is primetime!
  9. Well, the cost is low so give it a try and see what you think. Most guys like it, but some don't! This is my suggestion: Spinning tackle: Yo-Zuri Hybrid or Hybrid Ultra Soft #6 (.010" diameter, 11.9 lb breaking strength) Baitcasting gear: Hybrid or Ultra Soft #12 (.013" diameter, 19.5 lb breaking strength) I use KVD Line & Lure Conditioner on all lines. Good luck! -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior
  10. Welcome aboard!
  11. Try the 3/8 oz Cavitron black on black, it's my favorite.
  12. Recently on a drop shot rig. I'm fishing the 3" Slug-Go 18-24" off the bottom; using a 3/8 oz weight so I can jiggle the bait without moving the presentation.

    Welcome aboard!
  14. MERRY CHRISTMAS!
  15. Mid April through mid May is pretty good just about everywhere in the Mid South. I hope you will consider joining us at Pickwick for the 5th Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip the first week of May. Fishing and fun! Merry Christmas
  16. I have a Metanium and Scorpion that seem about the same as their domestic counterparts to me. Merry Christmas!
  17. Nope. I have mine matched up with a CTE200GT. The rig balances perfectly and seems "light".
  18. Instead of carrying a tackle bag, this vest is perfect for shore fishermen: http://www.cabelas.com/p-0018716902478a.shtml
  19. Seriously...I used to like my other reels a lot more than I do now that I bought the Cores.
  20. The price per unit is the same. The fact that these brands are identical has been confirmed by company representatives. Merry Christmas!
  21. Fluorocarbon is an inert crystal. Unused, the line will last indefinitely. Monofilament is basically nylon. If kept away from sunlight and away from heat, it can be stored for a long time. However, most guys aren't comfortable with old line and I would replace the mono for sure. Merry Christmas!
  22. My experience has been the same. I find BPS Customer Service to be outstanding. Still, this story is unfortunate. As a matter of policy, we (generally) don't allow company bashing on the forum. Issues need to be addressed and resolved among involved parties. It seems most of this grievance has been aired. It's time to move on.
